Pros: Price and proximity to Iwo Jima Memorial, Air Force Memorial and Arlington Cemetery
Location: Ate breakfast at attached restaurant (Ledo's?), they gave us meal on the house because of my husband Air Force veteran. Wonderful hospitality.
This was a very comfortable room, we highly recommend.

Location is good to get access to the metro

Other than location, it is an ok hotel for a night. the carpet is very old and other things to be improved, but staff was friendly.

Not bad for an inexpensive hotel in the DC area.

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Nice to have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge, and the free internet was actually great for a hotel.
Cons: Needed plugs at the desk - I had to unplug the TV to plug in my computer. The heater only had a high fan setting, so it was a bit noisy.
Location: Just walked back and forth to a training, but the metro and lots of restaurants were within easy walking distance.
Definitely not luxury, but a great price, good location and decent accommodations.

Great Bargain

Posted Dec 16, 2014
I have been to this hotel several times because I'm in a postgraduate program in Georgetown. I need a place that's affordable for multiple stays over a 3-year period. I keep coming back to this hotel because it's very comfortable, affordable, close enough to Georgetown for me to walk, very close to a major metro station, and is a short subway trip to the airport. If I need a car for any reason, I've got parking, too. The heat works great, the coffee in the room and lobby is pretty good, and there is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The staff are very good and honest people--I've never had any problems. It's older, but the furnishings, linens, fixtures, etc. are all very good and comfortable. The downsides: The windows are crummy and need to be replaced. The hot water doesn't circulate, so you need to turn it on and leave it running for a while if you are an early riser (especially if you are on the 3rd floor, where the hot water has farther to travel to get to you). The toilets are not water conserving, and you have to hold the lever down to allow a full flush. The vending machine is always empty. Little things like that are inconvenient but not a deal breaker for me. The worst problem I've come across is noise in the hallway or adjoining rooms. You can hear through the walls like they are made of paper if you have a noisy party next door. I don't like the food at the Italian restaurant next door and there is nothing else very close, so I often settle for it.

Too Far Away From Everything

Posted Dec 15, 2014
The staff were not very friendly. Anything in DC that you would want to see is an $18 cab ride away (each way). It honestly makes more sense to pay a little more for a hotel closer to everything.

A Good Value

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Everything about my stay was very nice. The facility is clean, well maintained, and a good value for the price. The building is about four blocks away from the Rosslyn Metro Station, a ten-minute walk. That means you can access just about everything the city has to offer without bringing a car.

Clean and affordable

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Three things stand out. The cleanliness was great for this dated little gem. I liked having a great little Italian restaurant on site, very nice. Dwayne was one of the best Managers that I have come across in the industry in a long time. Also, it was only 3 blocks from the metro subway system and taxis are affordable. Rosslyn had plenty of coffee shops and other restaurants. I would recommend this for a stay and will return.

Pool is a disappointment

Posted Dec 1, 2014
The room was fine, but could have been cleaner but was good enough considering the price. The microwave/fridge was nice. The staff was courteous and the coffee in the lobby was a nice little extra. The pool was a big letdown. It was only open from 2 pm to 10 pm. The pool area was so cold the lifeguard wore gloves and the shower areas suffered from the age and humidity. The water was warm enough but getting to and from it was chilling.
