2 night stay

The Ledo Pizza restaurant on the property which seems seperarte from Best Western but is the only restaurant leaves much to be desired. Breakfast was about the worst ever experienced. Mostly food from frozen ( home fries, waffles etc.). Very old fruit salad. Chocolate milk with 1 drop of chocolate. Waitress hardly knows english and messed up everything.

Nice hotel close to attractions in DC

Pros: Clean well priced with parking included and very good restaurant right there.
Cons: TV reception
Location: A short cab ride to the national mall attractions
All around very pleasant experience. Room was as advertised. Staff was very helpful

Pros: Conveniently located only two blocks from Metro station. Staff were very helpful with directions.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Impressive Iwo Jima Memorial is short walk away.
Nice big rooms. Coffee in room and lobby. Underground parking available.

Nice Hotel away from Downtown

This is the place to chose if you're looking for a base camp while visiting DC. The room was clean and comfortable. I was hesitant about the noise level being so close to a highway, but I was not bothered at all once inside. The metro is a quick walk from the hotel, and is by far the easiest way to travel the city. The staff was friendly. Overall a great experience.

Short but Sweet

Pros: Walking distance to Metro, fair price, has maps at front desk & can highlight best route, clean room on arrival, free wifi, parking garage, and coffee
Cons: Needs work - Ice machine outside wasn’t working, shower is VERY touchy (either boiling hot/ice cold), possible mold starting on ceiling above shower.
Location: Great food in Arlington, (go to Bertucci's!), walking distance to Iwo Jima memorial, and short walking distance to the Metro.
Took a 3 day getaway from Pennsylvania to sightsee in D.C. for the first time. We are in our 20s and have always wanted to visit. Good deal seeing as we didn't plan on being at the hotel for more than sleeping.

The Worst Western

Pros: They were pleasant and quick to help with the TV (once... we gave up on that) coffee maker, and clean the room before dark the rest of our stay.
Cons: They could fix the plumbing, the TV, put the correct coffee maker parts together, clean the room before nightfall, make requested wake-up calls.
Location: The Metro is within reasonable walking distance. It's not exactly a scenic area to stroll around for fun though.
We booked 4 nights, arrived 4pm. First we saw the TV had on-going color problems. (Anything that was supposed to be black was red.) A maintenance guy wiggled cables in the back and it worked until the next time we used it. The coffee pot was mismatched for the coffee maker. We didn't know that and used it... so it made a mess. We cleaned up and they exchanged it for the correct coffee pot but didn't bring coffee again unless asked specifically. On our first day, they did not make the 8:30 am wake-up call. (We didn't that try again!) That same (first) day they did not clean the room until 5:45 pm when we returned and called the front desk to ask for the beds to made etc. The shower water temperature wouldn't settle. It ranged very hot to very cold and swayed from one to the other no matter what, you couldn't get it to stay moderate. The front desk clerk refused to give a print out of our bill the night before check out... he said they couldn't because we booked through Expedia. But, it was under the door the next morning.

Pros: The location was good and it had free parking
The front desk clerk was nice, but, the lobby was not great; pool was in adjacent building that looked like a cheap motel. The bathroom floor was dirty as was the rug. The beds, however, were comfortable. Parking garage was a little scary and dark. We actually left a night early, as we just weren't thrilled with the hotel.
