Inexpensive and close to the metro.Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Price, cleanliness, comfy beds.
Cons: Needs a remodel. It's old.
Location: Great pirate-themed brew pub up the road. Also Starbucks within walking distance. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the metro - easy to get into DC.
The hotel was in need of some remodeling, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I wasn't looking for luxury and the price I paid ($60 per night) was well worth it, especially for the location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Best Western Rosslyn Iwo Jima HotelPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: All is fine.
Location: Shopping, taking metro, walking, reastaurants, drug store.
This was my second time staying at Iwo Jima Hotel. It was a great experience and I would recommend friends to stay there. Myself, there is no other hotel that I can stay. There is value for money spent: there is everything: parking, bar restaurant, TV, iron, micropwave, friedge, telephone, comfortable bed and other facilities. All staff are friendly.

Best Western Iwo JimaPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is very accommodating--good food. The rooms are clean.
Cons: Check for cracks (important especially during the cold winter.
Location: Didn't have much time to assess.
(We were there for a funeral.) The staff is nice, but had a couple of things fall through. My aging father was told to check out when I had the room paid for for two days--big mistake. My sister-in-law's room was cold (110)--cold air coming through the wall in the old heater area.

Cons: hot tub (:
Location: metro, restaurants, free way
Great distance to the metro (about two blocks), so very easy and fast to get to national mall to site see. You can walk everywhere and the hotel has parking, which was great because we came from out of town and didn't want to pay to park everywhere we went. Wish it had a hot tub, especially after all of those hours of walking but the hotel was great and just what we needed it for, a place to sleep. Comfy beds.

It was decentPosted Feb 18, 2015
The hotel was decent for the location and the price. There are a number of things that could have been better, but perhaps if they were, it would have been more expensive.

Very convenient, lower-cost hotel in the DC areaPosted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: The clean rooms and the courteous staff.
Cons: It is not very well prepared to help disabled guests. The management seems willing to help, but most of their guests seem to be young people.
Location: It is just across the Potomac from DC and one can quickly get a taxi to go wherever he chooses. There is a restaurant across the parking lot.
This hotel proved to be an excellent choice for my housing needs while in DC. The free parking was a great help and the location was secure. The staff were very courteous, helpful people and I will be happy to stay there again in the future. The only problem that I had was that the address is confusing because the hotel is actually at 1501 Fairfax Dr., but the general location is at 1501 Arlington Dr. A driver needs to know that he cannot turn from Arlington Drive directly onto the hotel site. It is printed on the card that you get when you arrive at the hotel, but that is too late for one who does not know how confusing the DC streets can be! Even the taxi drivers often did not know where to turn to get to the entry way.
