“Limited shuttle times but a decent hotel”
What was not listed in their amenities when we booked is that their shuttle to Reagan Airport/Pentagon City Metro station runs between 6am and 10pm (as of 3 wks ago when we were there). Sometimes on the hour, others on the half hour--they have a complete list posted in their lobby. Our flight landed at 11pm and that's when we found out we had to take a taxi to the hotel. Cost about $20 with tip. You could try to call them when you land to see if you can get their shuttle to the hotel because otherwise they pretty much just circle from the hotel to the Metro station. Good pillows but the bed creaked and the a/c did not stay on long-had to use the high fan setting to stay cool overnight. Other than that the breakfast is decent, the staff is very nice and the housekeeping staff was good.
“ok”
ok for what it is. stuck in DC because of weather and it was a place to lay my head
“Good Interstate hotel, not paying much attention to your needs”
I was staying one night on business. I only made one request at check-in. They told me to give them 20 minutes to call a cab. I gave them advance notice of half an hour. 29 minutes later in the lobby, the young clerk who took on that task was gone and another clerk made what seemed to be a pretense at trying to get a cab for me. He kept telling me to take the shuttle to the Pentagon Metro station. I may well have been going in the opposite direction but that was his message. The Shuttle would not be there for another thirty minutes. As it happened, I had a social engagement at an embassy in Washington. I allowed plenty of time but the failure of the hotel to make the one arrangement I requested, left me one hour and fifteen minutes late. In general, the attitude of the staff ranged from disinterested to apparently frazzled. This is a big city hotel but the staff don't seem to be trained to handle basic functions. To top off my day, when I tried to take a shower that evening, there was no hot water. I wish this was an uncommon experience. Hotels need to keep their hot water system running all day. This is an aggravation that makes sure I will not be a repeat customer. But it had a good breakfast.
“Great Place”
This hotel is not exactly conveniently located to downtown DC, but it is close enough; the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetary are close by. The accomodations are spacious, clean, and relaxing. The staff is curtious and helpful. Shuttle service to and from the airport is offered at no cost.
“very average!!!”
breakfast was fine, room was clean, shuttle was convienient but staff knowledge was average. ASk them the basic touristy questions, which train to the white house and they're fine, but anything more involved, then forget it!! they don't have a clue, and they don't tell you that, they just make up a response which is obviously not true but will try to convince you that this is the case!! Also internet is really really slow when it works but most of the time it didnt work. Business centre is a joke! Restaurant doesn't do room service, had to get chineese or pizza!! only options!! not happy with that...no healthy options!! House Keeping don't speak english so it's really hard to communicate what you need, and everyday they forgot to do something, whether ot was to replace the towels they took, or left thier cleaning gloves on my son's crib...it was a joke!! Won't be booking an expedia secret deal again if this is what I'm going to get!!!
“Great price and value”
Shuttle to metro was a plus...tasty continental breakfast....pleasant staff, clean rooms....we thoroughly enjoyed it!
“comfort inn pentagon isnt near the pentagon”
although we were disappointed that the hotel wasnt actually near the pentagon and wished their free shuttle came more frequently than once an hour, we actually did greatly appreciate the value at this hotel. The rooms are well appointed, the shower has great pressure and the breakfasts were surprisingly good. the front desk staff and breakfast staff were very service oriented and friendly but the shuttle drivers were more brusk. it is important to know that the shuttle service only runs 6am to 10pm, so if you have an early or late flight, expect a $15+ cab fare from/to Washington National.
“It worked for the purpose of my trip”
I stayed there during a quick trip to Washington. The hotel was Ok. Only getting to the hotel’s building was a little confusing as it shares the parking lot with a Best Western
“Old Grungy hotel in iffy area”
Needed to be close to Reagan Airport and not much available. This is a last chance choice.
“please check other options and skip this one”
There was a green bug on the bed.. We think that was a tick..Probably that was it..Tick on the bed..Anyway - maybe a spring bug.. But We should assume it was a tick..
