Great base for visiting DCPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Proximity to access DC, staff helpfulness, surrounding restaurants in the area, cleanliness and comfort of the room
Cons: Nothing really other than a complimentary breakfast - there is not much else within walking distance first thing in the morning!
Location: We visited the Cheesecake factory twice for dinner and we were regulars at the Starbucks just a few steps away
We had a very good 4 night stay here in November. The hotel was a little tricky to find by car in the one way system but once we got there everything was great! The room was a nice enough size, we had a king bed and a sofa and the TV was a decent size. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was exceptionally clean (I am quite particular about this!). The location was a 5-10 minute stroll to the Rosslyn tube station and only about 10-15mins on the tube in to the Smithsonian area. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, they offered us a free shuttle in the evenings up to the local restaurants (too far to walk really after all day sightseeing) and we just called them from the restaurant and they picked us up within 10 minutes! Such great service. The 2 ladies on the reception were very helpful all the time with letting us know what was around i.e. restaurants, metro. We used the pool once and there was no one else in it and the hot tub was fab. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Washington DC. Also, car park fees were very reasonable.

Perfect for our needs.Posted Dec 1, 2013
Cons: More seating in breakfast area.
Location: Close to Bridge to Georgetown.
Location was great for us. Only complaint was room configuration, but that was very minor. Service was excellent. Breakfast was part of our package and the food was a step up from the Hampton Inn/holiday Inn Express style.

Army Ten Miler 2013 TripPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and kind.
Location: Rosslyn has its own metro that was a block from the hotel; you can go anywhere through D.C. from there. Nice restaurants within a short walk.

Hotel provided shuttle to the Metro.Posted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay very much. We were there visiting our Son at Fort Myer. We have never been to the DC area, so we did not know what to expect. The Hotel was more than excellent at their service. My Stepson was able to walk or ride his bike to the hotel. He stays just over at Ft. Myer. The hotel has a shuttle service within 1 mile, which we loved, because I have a hard time walking long distance. They shuttled us down to the Metro daily to catch the subway daily (its only 5 blocks to walk it, but a little up hill walk on way back, just harder for me). The subway system was so simple to us, once you figure it out once, you go just anywhere in DC! It was overall a great experience. We would definitely go back to this hotel when we return! And on the plus, they had awesome restaurants within walking distance, a grocery store, and a CVS.

Enjoyed our stayPosted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. We were well taken care of by the front desk staff when we needed information and to get our room key reprogrammed. Also they were very prompt in having the hotel shuttle take us to the metro on a less than energetic morning. Breakfast was included and the food was good and service was mixed, but alright. The hotel is not far from Georgetown and Arrington cemetery. We decided to walk to each, though it might be too far for some. The one location issue for us was the noise from the planes taking off from National Airport flying overhead. The kids enjoyed the pool, and this is the first hotel pool we've seen with a lifeguard in a very long time. All together a very enjoyable visit fot us.
