Nice hotel convenient to Metro

Posted Mar 10, 2015
I was disgruntled when I arrived, blew a tire on the trip in and caught in a snow storm that cancelled the conference I came for. The hotel staff was professional despite my bad mood. They were extremely accommodating. The hotel is well placed-close to the Metro and Old Town. Parking was free. I recommend this hotel.

Don't judge a book by its cover.....

The rooms were smaller than it appeared on website. The smaller refrigerator was apparently extra charge because it was not one in my room. The downstairs store was very expensive. I would recommend to buy your goodies/beverages before you arrive. The bed was uncomfortable. I had to drive 3 or 5 miles to dine. Even though this hotel did have Bistro and bar. Overall, clean room, and nice staff.

Pros: This hotel is very conveniently located next to the metro station and the freeway.
I booked this hotel for a corporate guest and he was very pleased with the accommodations. It was close to everything he needed.

Value

Was well worth the $90 rate I got on Expedia. When I had to extend stay due to snow storm, rate went up to $149. Definitely not worth that. Moved to Hampton in next day.

I wish the room was as updated as the lobby was. The tub was very outdated. The room was also smaller than I had intended.

Great location for MAGFest

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Access to the parking lot.
Location: There are a lot of shops along Eisenhower ave. It's also 5-10 minutes away from National Harbor.
I stayed at this hotel during MAGFest weekend. It was easy on and easy off. It also seems to be in a safe neighborhood, so that's a plus. The hotel staff were very pleasant and courteous. Overall I had a great stay here.

Horrible

Posted Jan 21, 2015 on Hotels.com
Upon arrival there's a beautifully renovated lobby but once you get on the elevator that is out the window. The smell on the elevator initially had me flustered but once I got to the dark hallway I wanted to turn around and leave but it was late. Next came walking into the room, there was trash already in the trash can. The room as nowhere near as renovated as the lobby. All kinds of cracks, stains on the blankets and sheets and my tub as some residue in it. Not to mention wanting to shower at about 12am or so and there being absolutely no Hot water. My husband decides to go and ask if there was a problem and get us something to drink and the front desk staff is no where to be found. He stands there for about 10 minutes when the gentleman walks in from his cigarette break to tell him that they have been experiencing problems and someone will climb on the roof in the morning and fix it when they come into work. Even at check out I didn't even get a good morning or a good bye. Awful location. The only good things about my stay was the time I got to go home.
