“Tech center hotel”

This is a very nice hotel with a very curtious staff. They have changed the roads around the hotel and it is difficult to get into the hotel using GPS. It is near the Metro and the curtesy van took us and picked us up from the Metro station. It is close to a number of restaurants and a movie theatre, but you need to drive or be taken. It is not within walking distance of anything. Breakfast is similar to a Starbucks, McDonalds, etc. They do not have waiters, but the food is good.

Area recommendations

The DC Mall visiting all the Smithsonians and the National Gallery of art, Mt Vernon, Gunston Hall, Arlington house and cemetary, Woodlawn Plantation, Old Town Alexandria, George Town, National Portrait Gallery, The Frier Gallery, Dupont Circle, the Phillips gallery, the Corcoran, and the Zoo.

When to go

Go in either the Spring or Fall. The summer is too hot and humid and the winter is too cold and snowy.

“"I found it to be everything I was looking for"”

"I found it to be everything I was looking for. Shopping center were 15 min east Eisenhower to Van dorn from Van Dorn to Kings Hwy. Nice clean rooms, friendly service. Would recommend to someone else.

“Perfect for the occaision”

about 2.5 miles from downtown alexandria which is gorgeous and lots to do...You can hop straight on 95 to get to DC or Baltimore...and the hotel has a shuttle that you just call for and comes fairly promptly to transport both ways to the metro.

“What I expected”

As with all of the Courtyard's I have stayed at lately this one meets my expectations. The location isn't ideal for business in downtown Washington DC but the staff is very helpful and the building is spotless. For the area the price wasn't outrageous. The "Bistro" is just like every other Courtyard, overpriced and the food is marginal. Overall my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Not much within walking distace so be prepared to drive anywhere for dinners etc. I enjoy the Courtyard brand and will continue to be a guest whenever I can.

“Very nice hotel”

Very nice hotel. Within walking distance of several eating establishments and the metro (although they provided shuttle service also). Would stay there again.

We stayed in Alexandria because it was cheaper than staying in Washington, DC and yet close enough to visit DC via the metro.

“Very nice hotel”

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel, very quite,and close to the metro station and they was a free shuttle bus to take customes back and forth to the metro station. The area was quite, if I decide to go back to Washington D. C. I will be back at the same hotel.

“Good Hotel for price”

Only found two thingss wrong. Most people will review a hotel and tell me about the free breakfast and complain or the noise. You can't help these very small details. Tell about the condition of a bathroom and cleanliness of the room. that's important. Everything was good except they put me next to a noisy ice machine. For the price it didn't matter. My husband needed handicap parking and two spaces were always used up by cars never moving. All in all great hotel. Stop knit picking and worry about CLEAN. this hotel is.

“Nice hotel”

Pros.The hotel is nice and comfortable. Location is good, 10 minutes drive to Old town. There is microwave and iron with board in the room. Cons. AC is very noisy and there is no fridge.

Old town Alexandria is very beautiful.
