A bit bland

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: The location, although it is not convenient to get to because it is not directly reached from the main road, but a separate parallel road.
Cons: Microwaves in the lobby at least. Coffee station in the lobby.
Location: Tyson's Corner mall. And soon, the new silver line of the metro to ride into DC. We noticed that it looks like it will open soon.
When we checked-in, the clerk was pleasant and informed me of some changes since my last stay. I was a bit disappointed by the "updates". There was no microwave in the room to reheat meals, which many other hotels have. I noticed that the "cleaning" during our stay was minimal. For example, hair still on the bathroom floor, although they removed towels I had hung to reuse, which is contrary to the policy of leave it on the floor for a wash. My husband noticed that they had removed the coffee station from the lobby. He was disappointed with that. We did not use the exercise room, so I cannot comment on it. One really nice positive--the USB charging station on the desk lamp!

Great hotel near shopping!

Needed a hotel for helping family move one weekend and the rate was perfect for this prime location. The rooms were nice and comfy, staff was great and it was near a mall. Great location.

Nice hotel close to D.C.

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: shuttle, staff, room, bistro, fitness, location
Cons: avoid room next to the elevator if you wake up easily during the night
Location: There is a mall really close but we didn't go. Connection to Washington D.C. downtown was superb.
We had a great time at the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They knew how to deal with different kinds of people - foreigners, extroverted and more quite ones. We seemed to be important to them. The room was big and clean and had everything we had wished for. First, we had a room right next to the elevator. I couldn't sleep for a night because the noise bothered me. The next day we asked the staff for a new room and they said it wasn't a problem at all. So we got a new room, which was perfect. I have to admit, though, that one of the staff members had asked us if we had a problem with a little bit of elevator noise when we checked in and we said "no". So, it wasn't their fault in the first place and it was really nice of them to inform us beforehand. The fitness room, the bistro and the restaurant are big and offer a huge variety of things. The shuttle was extremely convenient and parking in the parking garage was great.

Great hotel! Great location!

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: location, staff, price, fitness room
Cons: We did hear the people in the room next door through the connecting door. The room (1 king bed) was a little small, but the furnishings were comfy.
My husband and I booked this hotel for a cousin's graduation from Georgetown. The hotel had the best price in the area. It was very convenient for accessing DC and the route we took wasn't too bad as far as traffic is concerned. Our room overlooked Tysons Corner Galleria and Tysons Corner Center was just across the street and down about 1 block. We didn't dine much in the area, but it looked like they had a good selection of restaurants. The parking garage was decent and the spaces were a good size, not too tight. The fitness room was very useful and had the latest equipment and plenty of towels.

Great hotel with shuttle to take you places

Posted May 7, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly and helpful people.
Location: Mall across street, places to eat closeby and close to metro.
Hotel was wonderful, people were wonderful. However, Expedia charged my card before I arrived, and charged me more than the hotel charged me. Next time, I guess I will go directly to the hotel for reservations.
