Great place, the only thing downfall was that they charged extra for their breakfast and even had a water bottles with prices on them for the room. Overall, the hotel was clean, well kept and the staff was very friendly and helpful with my questions.

“Great place to stay!!!!!”

We arrived about check-in time and the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We had the option of 1st or 2nd floor and took 2nd. Our room was by the elevator and still was quiet. I had gotten very sick on the way to DC from TN and went straight to our room and went to bed and stayed there for a day and a half. The room was great, clean, very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room was great, just had to remember to push the button in the freg to keep it going. The whole place was nice and made you feel like you weren't on a major road in the area. Quiet and relaxing. The cleaning lady was very kind when she saw that I was sick and just came in and brought clean towels and let me sleep. Plenty of places to eat close by, a mall just up the street with a drug store, which we needed. The only problem we had was going to the Metro. We had to drive and the first day my kids went into DC they couldn't find a parking place at the first station and had to keep driving to find one. The second day we didn't go out until later(trying to over my sickness still) and we found a parking place right away. We were very satisfied with the Courtyard by Marriott Fair Oaks and would recommend it if wanting to stay just outside DC.

For the price we paid through Expedia, we were not expecting much - boy were we surprised! What a great hotel. The lobby was impressive. Nicely decorated, clean, fun interactive map feature on the wall, computer station with printers. Staff was very freindly and accomodating. Our room was great, very clean, coffemaker, fridge, iron, everything we needed was there. Ruby Tuesday is right across the street and we walked over late one night for dinner, felt very safe, nice neighborhood. We were visiting DC and the Metro station is close and convenient (although you do need a car - about 4 miles) I understand there is a bus stop right across from the hotel which will take you to the Metro station, but doesn't run on weekends. Our one complaint would be limited hours on the pool/whirlpool area. Closed at 10 pm and doesn't open until 5:00pm on weekdays. (hours are longer on weekend) We would highly recommend this hotel.

Located and accessible for sights in No. Va. Lovely courtyard, good pool and exercise room make this an especially nice place to stay.
