This was a great hotel. The location was very convenient for the trains into DC, only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Our room on the first floor was clean and tidy when we entered, and everything was as it needed to be. The free breakfast was good, with plenty of options given, and the items were regularly refreshed. My only negative on breakfast was the amount of one use/disposable items, which seemed very wasteful- however I do understand that these equally mean less items to clean or wash from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel, and if I'm back in the area or intending to visit Washington again, I would definitely stay again

We like safe and quiet. However, our refrigerator didn’t work and woke up to food. I did offer to fix it but we didn’t want them to come in the room while we were there. The breakfast room was small and no elevator but the breakfast section was good. We had to ask for new towels. only got one tow per person for two nights. They were accommodating close to the metro station.

1-close to metro station at East Falls Church 2-staff is friendly and accommodating 3-liked 24-hr availability of coffee, tea and hot water 4-room is clean and beds are comfortable 5-breakfast options are good and food is fresh and plentiful 6-overall it's a very pleasant stay as advertised, especially after a long day's cherry blossoms site seeing in DC 7-Expedia is great to book this reservation trouble-free, great pricing at the peak of cherry blossoms season, also flexible and free cancelation option

My friends were in town for a week. We did not have air conditioning the entire time we were there. We called everyday and they kept asking if we have the dial on cool. Uh yeah. Then they said unplug the unit and plug it back in. That didn’t work. They couldn’t give us another room because they were sold out. They also said we could open the window. We couldn’t. It was rigged to not be able to open.

Hotel and rooms were clean. Great location to walk to metro to get into DC. Breakfast was a little lacking and small area but it’s free so it’s acceptable. Staff was helpful and polite. Would stay again if in area.

We felt very safe in the area. Very close to Metro, maybe a 8 min walk, we have young kids. Hotel was clean. Staff was very helpful in getting around the city. Parking was tight, if you have a bigger vehicle. I have a full size truck, we got in and out but it was hard. The noise from up starts one night was not the best, we could hear just about everything. Thankfully my kids were already asleep. We had food delivery every night which was nice after a long day. Breakfast was OK, the "hot" stuff was not really hot. Also a man was eating at one of the tables with nothing on his feet which was a little gross. My kids actually noticed it first. Should be like any other place to eat, shoes and clothes! Lol We did enjoy our stay and most likely stay there again.

There was not an elevator which was really inconvenient with luggage. The was no sink space. The room was small - NOTHING like the pictures in other reviews. The staff just kind of stared at us and were not all that friendly. We came in from the city around midnight and the guy at the desk was asleep.

This hotel was fine for the most part. It's clean, everything worked. That being said the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors called the front desk to report how loud our TV was (we didn't have the tv on and were watching a youtube video on an iPad). I didn't understand how they could hear it, but the next morning I got it because we heard every word they, and their kid said while they were giving him a bath at 8 in the morning. Then, when we asked for two extra towels, the woman at the front desk acted like we were stealing from her personal stash. Like offended we would even ask. She almost refused to give us the second one. I've never had that issue at another hotel. The air conditioner/heater for the room randomly started rattling and knocking at 5am and we had to turn it off. When we started it again in the daylight it was fine. The night check in guys were friendly and courteous. Overall, not the greatest stay so it'd be hard for me to recommend the place but it was safe and clean and the facilities worked minus the blip with the heater/ac. You're at the mercy of who you get as a neighbor and who is at the front desk though.

Don’t go there! The property is poorly maintained, if at all. My bedsheets had holes in it, the little bottles of shampoo and conditioner had been used. The serving trays didn’t have lids anymore, so they put aluminum foil on it, everybody had to handle the foil. I realized I did not have a microwave in my room. I went to the reception. She said: you should be requested one….

Room was fairly quiet. Not updated. The TV only showed the shows on a tiny portion of the screen. Smelled like mildew so it gave me a headache after awhile. Breakfast in the morning was limited and had very cold pancakes, even though i was there 30 mins after it opened. The location was perfect for what i needed. Staff was friendly.

I make a very good living. I’ve stayed at many high-end hotels in the US and Europe. But I am very frugal and I don’t waste money unless I have to. I’ve stayed at this EconoLodge about 5 times now. It’s a not luxury hotel. But it is a very good basic hotel that provides everything I need: a clean room, free parking and even an included breakfast. As long as they keep doing that, I will keep staying there as an economical accommodation in the DC area.

The room was clean. No elevator with the only working ice machine on the top floor and breakfast served on the bottom floor. Parking lot it extremely tiny with very little light.
