Very nice hotel in great location.

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Location, separate living room, breakfast, happy hour.
Location: Very convenient to DC via Metro and Old Alexandria.
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and loved it. Great location, steps from Metro and trolley into Old Alexandria. Great breakfast included, staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were very nice with separate living area with TV. Small pool, but nice hot tub. I would definitely go back to this hotel when visiting the DC area.

Great access to DC via Metro. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful, especially when we needed to find an urgent care facility for our son. Ample hot breakfast worked well for our three teenage sons.

Nice hotel - Great location

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Cons: Free Wi-Fi. The elevators aren't clearly marked on the outside. I walked right by, thinking it was a room!
My room was great. Plenty of space. The bed was more comfortable than most hotels. The bathroom was huge. I liked the fact that there was a couch. It felt like a second home. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The train is located right across the street and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

Great location for travel into DC and Old Town

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Have stayed at this hotel several times and it does not disappoint. Close to Metro which means travel into DC and from airport is a snap. There is a Whole Foods grocery one block away. Breakfast is always good but can be crowded at times

Location, location, location

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Proximity to everything.
Cons: The in-house restaurant was mediocre at best.
Location: Free trolley from hotel to waterfront. King Street has many great restaurants and shops. Metro is literally across the street.
Really can't beat the location. On King Street near free trolley rides and across from the metro.

Pros: Overall clean, pleasant staff
Cons: Our credit card was billed incorrectly (over charged with a different card number reference). That was corrected once I called accounting.
If sleeping in the living area, it is very noisy. Parking spaces in the garage are very tight even for smaller cars.

Nice hotel steps from Metro stop

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Location: Steps to the Metro so just minutes from all the attractions in D.C. Great location.
We spent 6 nights at the ES in Old Town and found it to be very comfortable and clean. The front desk staff was very friendly (except for the night person - she was consistently crabby, for some reason) and the breakfast was awesome. We arrived Monday morning early on the red-eye and went to the hotel to drop off our bags before heading into D.C. and they let us check in early, even though check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. The breakfast area got pretty crazy on Saturday when the new folks checked in and there were lots of kids running around. (But nothing like the hotels at Disneyland!) Only downside was the very small indoor pool, but that was not really that big a deal. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Romantic getaway

Pros: I loved the managers reception! Mini happy hour with drinks and little snacks included in hotel stay! Also breakfast buffet!!!
Cons: I left the front desk know ahead of time it was our anniversary but nothing was done about it! Not even a mention or congrats!
Location: Old town is right around the corner and metro right across st! Plus free trolley!!
We went for our anniversary and it was really pleasing!
