Caught in a winter stormPosted Feb 25, 2015
A sudden snow storm caused havoc in the Washington DC area. The Embassy Suites cocktail hour was the perfect solution to the bad weather.

AwesomePosted Feb 24, 2015
This place is nice ..the only thing I didn't like was being up so high on the 8th floor but when get in and relax ...you won't even notice. The food in the cafe is good but depending on how many people are ordering it could be a long wait

Rooms are outdated. Filter in room is so dirty and dusty. Smell of brwakfast starts at 6.. towels are thin..overall, needs improvements, okay for price.

Wonderful people, lousy facilities.Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: The staff were all sweet.
Cons: Clean the spa and pool area. Fix the broken windows and the heating system in the rooms.
Location: Tyson's corner is a great place to shop. Lots of restaurants and places to visit. It's also close to D.C.
The staff is wonderful. The room we had was freezing! We actually had frost on the inside of the windows. I can honestly say that this was the most uncomfortable two nights' sleep I've ever had at a hotel. The hotel was completely booked so we could not get into another room. The staff gave us extra blankets and tried their best to be helpful. The spa and pool are were dirty with cracked windows above the spa and green/black gobs of stuff all over the windows.

Worst hotel experience everPosted Feb 17, 2015
We arrived to check in and we are told by the receptionist that the hotel was completely booked so we had to go to a different hotel. I was very frustrated because we made these reservations over a month before our check in date and they gave our room away without a phone call or email. We were late for our dinner reservations that we had planned that night. Very upsetting experience.

Pleased!Posted Feb 16, 2015
This is a very nice hotel my family and I have stayed in on multiple occasions. With the addition of the new metro station only a few hundred yards away, this is a very convenient location for travel into downtown. The hot breakfast and omelets cooked to order is a very nice perk. I seem to remember free WiFi in this location previously, but not on this occasion. A little disappointed there, but everything else more than made up for it.

Spacious suites, great valuePosted Feb 13, 2015
This is our 4th stay at this site. Easy access to the Smithsonian (20 minutes to the Mall), far less expensive than hotels in DC (lower taxes, free parking), wonderful breakfast with cooked to order omelettes included in the rate, and spacious 2 room suites. Our only issue is that there are only king size beds in all the suites. I wish they had some suites with 2 bed options so our son would not have to sleep on a sofabed.

Nice hotel near good shoppingPosted Feb 11, 2015
We stayed there for a night so we could go to Ikea the next day. The pool was nice. The free made to order breakfast was excellent. We look forward to our next stay there.
