Just a short drive to the city.

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Just a short drive from the city.
Location: Only about a half hour from all of the tourist sites in DC.
Our family enjoyed our stay here. The staff was extremely friendly. There are restaurants and stores in the same vicinity, which is very convenient.

Management and Staff need to get it together.

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Cons: Staff including the manager needs to be properly trained and an appointed manager should be on site at all times.
Husband had to switch rooms three times and my in-laws had to switch rooms twice due to the air conditioners not working. Upon arrival to the breakfast area the following morning around 6:10 am ( which per the posting in the lobby opens at 6:00 am) they were yelled at through the locked door to come back at 6:30 am because thats when it would be ready. The icing on the cake was I booked these rooms with the pay at the hotel option with my bank card and contacted the hotel to see if my husband and in laws could pay for the rooms with their own cards at check in to which I was told they could. Upon check in both my husbands card and inlaws cards were taken and put in their system but all the charges were ran on my card. When this was caught which was on a Saturday we called the office and was told that nothing could be done until Monday since the Manager was out until then we asked that they contact the manager and have her call. Several calls later to the same girl at the front desk and I was told the money would be refunded on Monday, still requested the manager contact us asap. The following Monday it took until around 4:30 PM to finally reach the manager, every time we called she was either in a meeting or off site, once we finally spoke with the manager she said that there was nothing she could do because Expedia was the one that charged my card not them even though the charges show from Governor House Inn, WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN

Great Value

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Access to DC, comfort of beds, friendliness of staff, breakfast.
Cons: WiFi and shuttle service
Location: DC area
I stayed there with my three kids for three nights. The room was clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good. It included coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, cereal, toast, muffins, apples, yogurt, and a Belgian waffle maker. It is easy to take the metro into the city and the hotel offered a shuttle to the metro. I do think the shuttle service could be improved. The van was not big enough to accommodate all guests and we sometimes had to wait for extended periods of time (up to an hour). The wireless internet access was also spotty. It was weak and disconnected regularly. Finally, I would recommend that they add some information in the rooms or lobby about the local area. However, overall, I think that the hotel was a great value and we had a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay there again.

reasonable price, close to DC

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Cons: WIFI
Location: DC
If you wanna find a good place with reasonable price to go to DC, you should try this. Clean room, nice staff. There are some restaurant around the hotel. The good thing is the hotel provides shuttle to metro station. There was a problem of the WIFI(we could not connect to the internet), but it was a not big deal.

Okay facilities

Posted Apr 7, 2015
The rooms were small and dingy, and the restroom didn't have an exhaust fan, terribly uncomfortable when you have 4 in the room. Obviously we were on a budget so yes, we didn't have high expectations. we survived. It was a fair deal for the price we got.

Nice hotel to stay close to DC

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Good price for the stay
The hotel staff are very friendly, the room is very clean and the breakfast is good. The room heater is kind of noisy. 6 min to East fall church Metro station and the park and ride to DC!
