Close to airport

Lucas was very accommodating both at check in and check out. I made a last minute reservation to meet with a friend over the 4th of July. He was able to find a room near my friend and was able to get us in early. The room was very clean and quiet. We were also able to get a late checkout.

Nice hotel, FAR from Washington, DC

Pros: Rooms were large, breakfast was good. The evening shuttle driver was especially hospitable! Thanks Egypt!
Cons: Remove energy saving feature on AC! When a shuttle pick up is requested please ask how many in the party so that there is room for all to sit safely.
Location: The only thing we found "nearby" was the Dulles airport accesible by free shuttle. From there, you can take a bus to the Air/space museum.
This hotel was very convenient to the Dulles airport, but not to Washington DC. It was clean and newer. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected! However, there was an energy saving sensor on the airconditioner that was essentially a motion detector. Guess what happens when you are asleep--you don't move enough to keep the temperature comfortable in June! I imagine it may be just fine at other times of the year. The biggest drawback was the distance to everything except the airport and the Air and Space Museum. There is nothing, not even a restaurant, within walking distance. If you are visiting DC, do yourself a favor and fly into Reagan (which is actually on the Metro), and stay nearby. The metro Does NOT connect to Dulles! If you are flying into Dulles to visit Sterling, Va., this hotel will probably meet your needs, if it's not summer or you don't require air while you sleep.

Better Than Expected

This hotel was more than I expected. It was like a mini apartment. It had a full-size fridge and a kitchen with all of the amenities including pots and pans and dishes. The bathroom was old and needed remodeling but it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was a little chaotic as they kept running out of plates and food, but they were very quick to replace whatever was missing. There was a good selection for the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and this was a great experience. Will definitely stay there again when in DC.

It's a nice place, and not too far from the airport. Be sure to call about a shuttle, as it only leaves the hotel when there's someone to pick up or deliver. It's not exactly cheap, but it feels 4-star. Staff seemed nice enough. Excellent hot buffet breakfast.

Luxurious hotel.

Pros: The accommodations and location. Very luxurious and just two miles from the airport. A shuttle is provided which is a great added convenience.
Cons: The hotel staff could be friendly, at least the one morning gentleman that runs the desk.
Location: Dulles airport is two miles away, so perfect. Didn't try anything else.
This hotel was luxurious, more than we needed for the night, but so nice after a long flight. There is a sitting area, kitchen area, and bedroom area. A bar is available downstairs with full meals, so no need to leave premises. Excellent. The only drawback was the morning shift mail employee. I understand it was early, but he had no expression, kind regards, or social grace. I had planned to rave about our wonderful experience, even though we were also tired at 5:00 a.m., but his lack of expression or greeting shushed me. It would have made our experience perfect if he had smiled and given us a nice farewell. Friendliness is free and required in a front desk position such as his.

Great staff!

We came in at 8:45 pm and did not get the room we had requested since the hotel overbooked. The room we did get was smaller than we expected. It was a tight squeeze and we were one set of towels short. However, the desk manager was very apologetic and we made do. The next day, the desk manager was wonderful. He got us a bigger room with more space to accommodate my 5'10" son, 5'11'' husband, my teenage daughter and myself. They were kind enough to move our luggage into our new room for us since we had an early start. The housekeepers left us with plenty of towels and linens and the rest of the stay was smooth and comfortable. The manager, Tony, was the quintessential host, seeking us out during breakfast to make sure our stay was excellent... and excellent it was.

Pros: easy access from Dulles. easy access to freeway/expressway. Minimart open 24 hours. Breakfast buffet. Staff.
Cons: better pricing on items in minimart. better service at breakfast buffet...out of food and plates often.
Location: the only thing interesting to me near by was the Udvar-Hazy Center (extension of Air and Space Museum)
The hotel was clean and the staff was nice and easy to work with. The breakfast buffet could be improved on. My trip was for a vacation to see D.C. so it was not close but the price was right. I wouldn't recommend for a D.C. trip but if you have a purpose that is closer to the hotel, this is a good hotel to stay at.
