During the last night of my stay, a fire alarm was set off at 4 am, prompting all hotel guests to evacuate their rooms and wait outside in the cold weather for about one hour until the firefighters arrived and investigated the cause of the alarm. They were unable to find any signs of fire, deactivated the alarm, and let us return to our rooms. By the time we got to our room, it was early morning, and I had to check out.

When I arrived at the Hampton Inn, I encountered an unexpected challenge that could have easily turned my trip sour. Due to a mishap with Expedia, my reservation was nowhere to be found in the hotel's system. Such situations are often met with a standard response suggesting the guest resolve the issue with the third party. However, what I experienced was far from standard; it was exceptional, all thanks to the hotel manager, Rohitha Basnayake. Instead of directing me to solve the problem with Expedia on my own, Rohitha took it upon himself to ensure my issue was resolved. Demonstrating true dedication to guest satisfaction, he personally called Expedia, meticulously searched through his computer systems, and remained by my side for nearly 40 minutes until the issue was fully resolved. His commitment, patience, & genuine kindness during this stressful time were nothing short of remarkable. It's rare to encounter such a high level of care & customer service in today's fast-paced world. Rohitha's actions not only salvaged my stay but also left a lasting impression that will keep me coming back to the Hampton Inn. I am profoundly grateful for his help & cannot commend him enough for his exceptional service and kindness. To anyone considering a stay at the Hampton Inn, expect to be treated with the utmost respect & professionalism, especially if you're fortunate enough to interact with Rohitha Basnayake. This experience has solidified my loyalty to the Hampton Inn.

I had no complaints about the Dulles / cascades Hampton inn. The front desk staff was helpful and attentive ; the room was spotless. The hotel was quiet and peaceful ; parking was a breeze ; I had an excellent view out my window. Overall an amazing experience I felt well rested when I awoke the morning of my departure.

We have stayed there for several years. Our only problem this year is geeing older the bath area needs to be updated, specifically in grab bars and adding walking in shower. The grab bars there presently are not in the right location to get in or out of tub and I thought I was going to slip and fall every time. That was are only issue withthis Inn.

4-Star Top Notch Hotel
I stayed at this hotel after a company event. The hotel is behind Home Depot and there is a nearby Starbucks, amongst a few restaurants that aren’t too far. The area isn’t sketchy as mentioned by previous ppl that reviewed. The hotel staff was very friendly and they did have free breakfast. The parking lot had ample spacing to park. The rooms are nice and spacious, bathroom was nice and spacious, beds were very comfortable, the AC/Heating unit worked properly. I have nothing bad to say about my stay. This hotel is on a level with a 4-star hotel.

The employees here seem unhappy. They are overall not welcoming, unfriendly, and downright cold. The area around the hotel looks abandoned. It used to be a vibrant shopping area but most businesses have left. Right next to the hotel, by the entrance, is an abandoned lot that has old mattresses and other garbage dumped in it. There is Dome Depot and a Giant (and a few other small businesses) still open but most have left the area. Not what I expected from a Hampton Inn at all. One exception to the employee coldness was housekeeper Silvia. She was like a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary sky.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint is that it is difficult to find (especially at night) because it is located behind a dying shopping center.

A terrible experience first night i was there A Fire Alarm went off for more than 30 minutes at 1.15 AM couldnt sleep and no one came up or called the room to say its a False Alarm . Then the Bathroom fan cant be turned off it was always on the noise was terrible Early morning around 6.00 AM there was construction / gardening work with a Noise that cant let you sleep after a sleepless night . Limited Dining exoerience ( no restaurant ) and breakfast was good but lacks a lot ( no cheese no Ham etc ...

Dear Anthony,Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are truly sorry about the disturbances you have described on the first day of your stay. I do agree, it certainly is not a pleasant experience to be rudely woken up in the middle of the night by a fire alarm. However, as you may agree, life-saving warning systems under any circumstances cannot be silenced, ignored or determined as false. Once a fire alarm is activated, clearance to return into the building can only be authorized by the fire department upon concluding their investigation. The local fire department is extremely efficient and fast responding; therefore, I am surprised to see your comments regarding the duration of the alarm. The hotel is not under any construction currently; however, routine landscaping work does take place and is always scheduled to begin after 8am. Therefore, I apologize if any work was started earlier on this particular day. As with most of the Hampton Inn’s, we provide a complimentary breakfast. The menu which is planned and mandated by Hilton is widely appreciated by most of our guests. We provide three hot offerings each day and rotate to ensure guests staying more than one night get to enjoy different options. Additionally, our breakfast includes a variety of other hot and cold items, and “make your own waffle” station with a range of toppings which is highly rated by our guests.We hope that we will have more opportunities in future to serve you and provide a seamless experience.
