“Good Place”

This hotel is a very busy one for the summer in the D.C. area, but staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and well serviced considering the number of guests on a Sunday morn.

Very convinient location. Close to DC and MD. The rooms were beautiful and had nice view. Breakfast was great with a nice verity of hot and cold selections. Didn't have time to use the swimming pool but it looked nice. Shuttle was available and the driver was very nice and informative about the area. Hotel personnel were very attentive.

“I'd stay here again in a heart-beat!”

The description of the location was "Old Town Alexandria, South" . It wasn't actually IN Old Town, but the hotel does even better! An on-call/24 hours a day free shuttle TO Old Town, thus eliminating parking issues or driving after a cocktail or 2! The office staff was very accomodating and helpful.

“Home away from Home”

This was a wonderful hotel with great staff. They offer free shuttle service to the local Metro station and will also pick you up from there. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff made my family feel welcome and like family. We will stay here again if we are in the area. We loved it!

“Affordable and good location”

We enjoyed the comforts of the Hampton Inn. Good location to get into DC and Mount Vernon. Helpful staff and good breakfast to start the day. Affordable and comfortable!

“Our D.C. home away from home”

Clean hotel. Shuttle to the Metro and to Alexandria Old Town made getting around a breeze. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complimentary and the 'make your own waffles' were a hit with the kids. Would definately stay there again!

“Hampton Inn is always on the top of my hotel preference”

Hampton Inn is always great. I have never gone wrong with them. Room is always clean and the service is great. Wish they had a restraunt in the hotel or near by.

“Very Nice”

The staff was very friendly and made all attempts to make us happy. The room was clean and nice. The did refer to the sofa sleep as a queen when it was closer to a full size bed and not that comfortable from what my friend said. We did have two queen size beds reserved but that room was given to another family before we arrived and substituted with a king bed and the 'not exactly a queen sofa bed'. The hotel itself was nice and the breakfast buffet was OK. Not bad, but OK. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

“My new hotel of choice!”

Stayed here for a very brief family vacation...and will definitely do this again! The hotel was clean & comfortable and the staff could not be more accommodating. The HOT breakfast was good (fix-your-own-waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, sausage, bagels, donuts, toast, muffins, juice, milk, coffee, tea, hot cocoa...) which helped to cut down on our food expenses. But the best part was the free, 24-hour shuttle service. We did not have to move our car for our entire stay! They took us safely to the Metro station for our day in DC and picked us up as soon as we called. They also took us to Old Town Alexandria both nights for wonderful dinners at their local establishments. I can't say enough about the shuttle van drivers. They were cheerful, helpful, gave us GREAT restaurant suggestions and were truly wonderful ambassadors for the hotel. We've already decided that this is our new favorite when traveling in the DC area!

“Great Trip, Great Hotel”

I did a lot of research on hotels thru many travel sites, everyone gave this hotel very good ratings & I have to say I agree 110% I was looking for something close to Old Town Alexandria for a family trip, site seeing there as well as DC so I also wanted something close to a metro terminal. This hotel was not the closest one I found there were hotels right in town but traveling with family on a budget this one fit the price nicely & rated higher them many of the more expensive ones. Usually when I find the hotels that fit the price they are not the most satisfying. This one was and when my wife gave me the seal of approval I knew it wasn't a bad choice. Check in was SMOOTH and we were in early with no problems, The hotel was very clean, Room not the largest but when I'm on this type of trip I don't need a big room not spending a lot of time in it. Bathrooms, smell, carpets the works all very clean, & I have a touch of OCD so that was a great start. The Air worked very well in the room and the we had a city side view so we had the highway at our window (7th fl) but very minimal road noise. Shower water pressure great. The complimentary Continental breakfast every morning was exceptional. Eggs, Sausage, Waffels, Coffee, 3 juices, Bagels, Muffins etc. Great start to the day. The Shuttle will take you to Old Town or to the Metro & just call when you want to come home, they are there in 10 mins. Parked the car & didn't use it until we checked out. Overall this was a great stay!
