Worst Hampton I've stayed in, in 8 yearsPosted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Free parking
Cons: Everything I listed above and the staff attitude toward customers.
1. Poor tile job, small cut on my foot from the sharp edge of the tile by the shower. 2. Soap from previous occupant still in shower. 3. Poor location for electrical outlet. Heard arching noise, and the lights were flickering. Outlet cover was broken and the outlet twisted and plugs partially out arching. Serious fire hazard. 4. Elevator wasn't working, had to walk from the 7th Floor. Informed the receptionist and another white male said, we know, use the elevator at the other end. If there was a sign at the elevator we would have walked to the other end instead of standing in an elevator on the 7th floor that was shaking, then walking down 7 flight of stairs.

Very comfortable room in a nice hotel.Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: The comfortable beds and nice rooms. Great free breakfast with 24 hour coffee service.
Cons: Better pick up and drop off locations with shuttle.
The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning was above average. It had a lot of options and they also have a 24 hour coffee and tea station. The hotel is a couple of miles away from the historic section so you either need a car or you need to take the shuttle. The shuttle is 24 hours but on demand so you could end up waiting during being times. All in all this was a great experience for us.

Not up to Hampton Inn standards!Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: The free shuttle to Old Town
Cons: Clean your facility. Housekeeping is awful. Fix the elevators.
We needed extra sheets and blankets for our room. We called the front desk at 10pm and since housekeeping staff had left for the day, we "were out of luck." The breakfast buffet was awful, the hallways were riddled with food and garbage on the sixth floor. Would never stay here again. I am a frequent business traveler to the DC area.

Nice hotel near old town AlexandriaPosted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Convenient location.
Nice hotel with excellent complimentary breakfast. The only down side was that many of the hotel staff cleaning rooms or working in the breakfast area did not understand or speak English sufficiently to deal with English speaking guests.

Good location but...Posted Dec 29, 2014
Location: Not in Old Town. Had to drive everywhere.
Elevators were broken and/or slow. Hotel was a former Howard Johnson and kind of felt like that.

Great for a stopover during a road trip.Posted Dec 26, 2014
Room was nice, but tv wasn't working and after a long day on the road, it would have been nice to relax with a movie or something.

Great locationPosted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: Loved the quick and easy access to Old Town Alexandria and King St. as well as DC proper and National Harbor. Literally, just minutes away!
Location: Although you couldn't really walk from the hotel to the Metro- it was just minutes away by shuttle.
Great location and free parking which is a real bonus! We were visiting the DC area and this was a perfect location. The breakfast staff did a wonderful job keeping the breakfast area stocked and tidy.
