Very nice hotel, very nice staff!Posted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: It was very clean and unworn. The breakfast was thorough and delicious, the work out room was top notch, the rooms were roomy and comfortable.
Cons: This isn't a knock on this particular Hampton, but we actually wanted to stay in Old Town, but we picked the wrong one. As it turned out, we didn't!
Location: Metro station could be closer, but the hotel can't change that. Plenty of restaurants around, close to Mount Vernon (a must see).
In our 2+ years of marriage, we have traveled a bit, and we've never had a nicer group of folks than the staff here!!! From Angie who checked us in to Dale who drove us to the Metro station, we could not have asked for a nicer group of folks! We felt so at home though we live almost 500 miles away.

Prudent choice for AlexandriaPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and comfort
Location: Alexandria Old Town is good to visit. If you are visiting D.C. this is also a good place to stay. You can drive to a Metro parking area in a 15 min.
Alexandria Va is an expensive place to visit and the hotel prices are high. This Hampton Inn is about 15 mins south of Alexandria Old Town and is considerably less expensive. There are some cheaper hotels around but the Hampton Inn is consistent for cleanliness and comfort. And for course the free breakfast is always welcome.

Spacious suitesPosted Oct 2, 2014
The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable, but wished there were 1 or 2 large pillows as the 4 pillows on the bed were too small to my liking. Breakfast was a big plus.

In area for week-long conferencePosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Clean accommodations; friendly/helpful staff
Cons: Access was through the parking lots of a gas station and two other hotels. Road construction was in process - perhaps will alleviate this.
Location: Near Mt. Vernon; George Washington's fort on the Potomac River; Arlington and D.C. within reasonable distance.
This hotel was quite a distance from the conference in Arlington. The first morning, a long cab ride ensued. The next morning, when I called the front desk for a cab, I was informed that they had a shuttle that would take us to/from the Metro station. Much thanks to driver Dale and the front desk staff. The accommodations were excellent - clean, fresh sheets and towels every day - clean room - hot breakfast every morning. Dale pointed out several historical sites between the hotel and the Metro station - enticing me to visit the area again when I can do some actually site-seeing.

Nice Hotel close to Mt. VernonPosted Sep 15, 2014
Cons: access is being improved and road repair is in progress. just be patient with the VDOT.
Location: Mt Vernon is great place to visit.
Staff is great and honest. I left behind a kindle and they found it and are returning it to me. Is the FIRST time I have ever had left behind possessions returned to me by a motel staff.
