Nice getaway close to downtown Alexandria

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Clean, amenities were nice and food was very good.
Cons: Hotel phone didn't work and wireless connection free is only for those under the Hilton Honors program. We had to pay for internet access.
Location: Downtown Alexandria, water park and malls.
I stayed with my family for a little "staycation" for the weekend. We live in Maryland but wanted to visit the water park in Alexandria - Great Waves. We ended up staying at the hotel because it was too cool for the water park. They have a nice indoor/outdoor heated pool. The food was delicious and the beds were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed the space and we drove to Old Town Alexandria for dinner, walking, ice cream and a beautiful water view. The price was reasonable - booked through Expedia - and we will definitely stay again when we come back to use the water park later in the summer.

We were very pleased with the staff, cleanliness, restaurant, rooms and personal attention at this hotel. Nights were quiet! All in all a pleasurable experience.

Very bad

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Staff's response to customer requests
Cons: Customer satisfaction
Location: Near Washington DC sights
There were bugs and ants in both rooms. Some of the staff were courteous and others were not customer friendly.

Reception crew are out dates with updated rules

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Manager was unprofessional and extremely rude. I called the hotel to confirm my reservation and I was clear and asked the front desk if they have shuttles to alexandria harbor. They said yes. After arrival I asked them for the service they said that they don't have it till after 3:15 pm and I was fine with it. After 3:15 pm I asked again they said no they cancel the service and there was a confusion. The manager was rude and cruel offering to pay a one way taxi to the harbor from her pocket. 15$ ??? As if I need her money !!!! Customer service is poor and rude I will never go there again and will never recommend it to any one.

Very good place to stay!

The place is just a few miles away from old town Alexandria, VA. The staff was very helpful and nice. The king size bed we got was very nice and comfortable. However, we found some hair on the bed, the cups and bath tub, and we definitely were not happy about that. We brought it to the hotel staff. Hopefully the house keepers will do a better job next time. I still like the place and the location overall.

Nice hotel convenient to Reagan Airport

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Easy to find, clean and comfortable. Easy to park, the lobby was inviting and provided views to the outdoors wherever you were.
Cons: It was just fine.
Location: Convenient to I 395, D.C. and the Reagan Airport. Close to Old Town Alexandria and many restaurants.
Arrived just before midnight on a Saturday night. Check in with the front desk staff was friendly, quick and easy. Grabbed a nightcap at the bar and had a great night's sleep. The hotel was quiet and the view from the 20th floor in the morning was wonderful.
