Great, but I am not handicapped.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Cons: the shop could have longer hours.
The hotel was great except that it had me in a handicapped accessible room, so when the desk clerk asked if I wanted a regular room, I said yes, figuring it would free up a handicapped room. She "upgraded" me and it cost me another $20! huh? I don't get it! Next time I will keep the handicapped room! Other than that it was great!

PLEASANT STAY. Nice service. Good food. It was close to my family. There are shuttle buses that are very punctual and will take you to the airport and pick you up too! They also take you to the mall close by.

Hotel in Alexandria, close to DC

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Nice room, good view from a high level floor, very spacious facilities. Would be great for a conference - I saw a large number of meeting rooms.
Cons: More dining options on premises
Location: Old Town Alexandria is nearby. Getting to the DC tourist spots should not be too hard although we didn't that on this trip.
We got a good rate on a room which would normally have been twice as much in a city like Boston, SF, New York or Chicago. I've noticed DC area hotels are very good value for money - maybe this was not very central for seeing the Washington sights but we were there for an event in Old Town Alexandria and this was convenient.

Pros: The view from the room. I really loved how clean the room was and how courteous the staff members was.
This was my first time staying at the Hilton. My husband and I had a room on the 27th floor. The view was beautiful. WE HAD A BLAST!!!! We will be staying there again.

Excellent hotel close to the Pentagon

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Convenience, proximity to the airport, banquet facilities, well appointed & clean rooms, and comfortable beds.
Cons: Please bring back the Hilton Honors Member reception on Wednesday evenings on the top floor. It was very nice. The staff provided excellent music.
Location: The Alexandria Mark is close to the Pentagon and the airport, so it is handy for chaplains and endorsing agents
We had another great experience here this year. I love the restaurants and the bar menu is extraordinary--better than most restaurants in the area! The shuttle service is excellent and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I stay here every time I come to Washington.

Outside of hotel deceiving...

Pros: The free shuttle to and from Reagan National was great!
Location: Old Town Alexandria is not far and very nice. Also very close to Reagan National Airport and the hotel has a great shuttle.
it's really beautiful on the inside. And much larger than it appears. My stay was very good, the room very comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and efficient. Breakfast was not free, but the buffet was worth the price.

Nice hotel close to d.c.

There was a lot of unexpected charges when I checked in that were not mentioned when I booked the room. Out pay for parking per day. They charge your card 50.00 per day and it was a hassle when I switched it to cash to get them to release it. We ordered three drinks from room service and took 30 mins to get. Will not be coming back.

Extremely comfortable room. Room service prices were reasonable. The Executive Center needs some attention.
