“Not Impressed and Will not go back”

I visit Virginia every fortnight and stayed for the first time at Hilton and I was totally not impressed. Firstly it is an old property and amenities in the room are little. The quality of bedding and the shower facilities were not as good as other properties in that area. Parking is far and some rooms are located really far from the lobby. The ONLY good thing was a really good gym/fitness facility with good equipment. I don't think I will go back there again.

Area recommendations

I recommend staying at the WESTIN on Wasser Terrace, alternatively Marriott at Worldgate Centre is good too. I had really good experiences at both paces multiple times.

“Carpet on the floor and a stuffed nose”

It is ok. There is silence in the night and it is clean. Carpets on the floor are not so good in my opinion.

“3.5 stars overall”

Nice hotel, but a bit expensive for what you get. The restaurants inside are nice and reasonably priced. It's very close to the airport and the free shuttle runs often so it's very convenient. If the basic room had a mini-fridge, microwave, and free internet, I'd probably give it 4 stars. But as it stands now, 3.5 seems fair to me.

“Would use again”

Hotel ersonnel friendly and helpful. Condition good but could benefit of updating. Many elements worn (carpet, drapes). All things considered experience was positive.

“Beat hotel yet!!!!”

I thought the hotel was wonderful, from the guest service to the shuttle the staff was wonderful. Emplyees at the receptionist seemed very happy and veyy clean, when I got their they had a dance, everyone got dressed up and went. It was amazing.

Oh DC of course!!! Where else in the world would you be able to view the white house so close up.

“Does not honor their advertising!”

We stayed at this Hilton because they advertise free airport shuttle and free parking. We live in PA, and had an early morning flight, so decided to drive in the night before and stay at the Hilton. The "free shuttle" doesn't begin until 5 AM, and we needed to leave for the airport at 4 AM. The free parking is for only the first 24 hours. You would think if they advertise free shuttle and free parking, they mean you could park there while on your trip. Next time, we'll get up at 2 AM and drive to Dulles, like we have always done in the past.

“Excellent quiet hotel”

This hotel was great. Very quiet room, comfy beds, everything clean and friendly staff. Took us about an hour to drive into DC the next day. We were sorry to only be staying one night. There appeared to be school group tours in the hotel but we weren't anywhere near them and only found out about them when we saw them as we were leaving.

“Wedding fun”

Great hotel - perfect location for a wedding then no drunk driving. I did feel our room seemed quick a distance from the lobby area itself. The hotel is a little confusing as it is a semi circle style and you cannot tell which way is to the elevators (after a few drinks)

“won't go back”

The shuttle was delayed, the front desk staff usually take the time to at least tell you things like: the gym is located on the 1st floor, the time for check out is 12, shuttles to the airport run every 20 minutes, etc. I didn't get any information. The newspaper in the morning was a nice touch though but the price of the hotel almost pays for that anyways.
