“was very satisfied, until the first bite...”
Hotel is in a convenient location, room is above-average for motel-class, everything in the room worked, staff was active and responsive. However, they had bed bugs and that kind of reversed my otherwise favorable impression and my willingness o recommend it.
“Good Hotel”
Great Hotel. Good location. Like 15 min. (in car) from DC. If you have a low budget and are looking for a cheap/good and comfortable hotel, this is the place for you. There's not much to do in the neighborhood, but still is a great deal.
“Good for the price”
We picked this hotel because it was close to D.C. but much less expensive than the hotels in downtown. Overall, the hotel was fairly clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly except for a few of the people at the front desk, who seemed to not really care about much of anything. The hotel was too far from the metro rail to walk to it but there was a bus stop right across the street that can take you to the nearest station in a few minutes. Just don't expect the buses to ever run on time so be prepared to wait. Also, the hotel is situated ontop of a fairly steep hill, which can be quite uncomfortable to climb up after a long day of walking around the city. The neighborhood didn't offer much, but there was at least a CVS and a Safeway nearby, and a couple food places.
“Great price for DC”
This hotel is not a Sheraton or Westin, it's a little motel-like lodge off a sub highway in Arlington. However, it is close to a lot of things in Arlington and Ballston, and it's way less expensive than the big hotels. It's clean, and the people are nice. Works fine for me and I stay there often.
“it was clean the price was excellent and the ability to cancel was a great plus”
Best deal in the area
“Not That Spectacular”
The help was very friendly, the rooms were a bit over priced. You received no toothpaste and they did not sell any. You are not close to any convenient stores and the entrance of the hotel is up a steep hill, which was a daily nightmare. With that being said one of the delights is it was near public transportation (busses to metro train railways).
“Good hotel for the cost”
My room had a cigarrete smell all days. The hotel is 1 block from the bus stop, the bus service is great and very punctual. The people of the hotel in the lobby is not very helpful.
“HORRIBLE HOTEL”
Staff were not friendly. expensive!!. Internet DOES NOT connect in the rooms (I witnessed many people having the same problem). Breakfast is a joke, there aren't chairs or anything, it's just some packed stuff that you can take. Smelled of smoke in the room. Also not easy to find. We're not going back.
“You get what you pay for”
We booked this room because it was inexpensive, close to a Metro Station and close to DC. The staff was very friendly. The room was small, the bedspread smelled like urine, the pillows were very thin and when we requested another pillow we were told that they were not clean yet and never ended up getting more pillows. The free continential breakfast consisted of packaged muffins, packaged pastries, orange juice and coffee. We only had the breakfast one day, the rest of the days we ate at McDonalds. Overall, we got what we payed for. If you are looking for an inexpensive room close to DC and a Metro station then this is your hotel, just make sure to bring your own pillow!
“It's o.k.”
It is convenient to d.c. without paying for parking. morning staff at front desk is not friendly. afternoon staff much more friendly. no elevator if you have a lot of bags request first floor. upstairs hallway smells of smoke. Unless you are a sugarholic don't count on eating their breakfast.
