Excellent Rooms and Location

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Room, location and staff
Cons: hotel decor
Excellent place to stay the night, all you need to for a trip to washington. Excellent location in terms of access to public transport and restaurants. The hotel facilities can do with some improvement, but otherwise everything else was perfect.

It was an intimate and cozy stay. It was in a quiet community which was easy to rest and relax in. They serve fruit, juice and pastries in the morning, which is a plus for conserving money. The street it's located on also has easy access to places to eat and gas up but it isn't so busy that traffic builds up. I would definitely return.

NIce affordable overnight rest stop.

Posted May 9, 2015
Stayed for 3 days. Located on a great street with lots of places to shop and eat. It's one of the smaller Inns of VA. I would certainly go back again. I think this local of 421 Broad St was very Suburban and pleasant compared to other locales that were right off a busy highway.

you get what you pay for, good location

Posted May 1, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: Decor
Location: Across from a nice shopping center, nearby downtown arlington
Booked this at the last minute and it was alright. The staff was nice and the room was okay, not dirty just outdated. Breakfast is not a real breakfast, just some fruit and packaged pastry on the front desk. Good thing is the location - right across the street from a small shopping center with some good restaurants and close to downtown Arlington (10 minute drive).

Older clean hotel

Posted Apr 20, 2015
The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to public transportation and restaurants. The staff were helpful and efficient. During our 4 night stay, the hotel was fully booked. It was quiet three of the four nights. On the night we heard noise, a few guests talked in the hallway for about 15 minutes then quieted down. This is an older, no frills hotels, but the convenient location, helpful staff, and competitive price make it an attractive choice for travelers.

Visit son in Arlington and Cherry Blossoms.

Pros: Location, staff and comfortable beds.
Cons: Hallways could use a spruce-up.
Location: Great having the variety of food establishments within a short walk.
Hotel is small, but staff is very pleasant. Beds are comfortable and room clean. Original concern for parking turned out to be no problem at all. Neighborhood is enjoyable with places to eat within a short walking distance. Bus pick up to the Metro is directly across the street.

Excellent area

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The location, and beds.
Cons: The bathrooms appeared to have a bit of mildew along the base. The counter area was a bit small to hold all of your hair supplies etc.
Location: see above
The hotel staff was kind. The building is older - the stairwell had a different odor, but the room was very clean. The bedding was very clean, I felt safe parking there. There's a bus stop a few feet away to take you to the metro station which is great! The return bus takes you directly across the street from the hotel. There's a Panera and sushi place across from the hotel (walking distance) and there's a brewery (Mad Fox) across the street (walking distance) that has delicious pizza and great beers. The continental breakfast consisted of a danish and an orange juice and coffee, so you may want to plan on walking across the street for more food or venturing out into the area. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay in a wonderful location. The buildings in the area are newer and the vibe is pretty great. It's a good place for a short stay.

The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Friendly desk clerks, and the room was clean.
Cons: A luggage rack for my suitcase would have been very helpful.
Location: Lots of restaurants are within close walking distances.
My one night stay was nice - the front desk was friendly and helpful. This is an older establishment that has recently gone through upgrades. The ceiling exhaust fan in the bathroom was very noisy. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. My brother, who had a room nearby, also said the exhaust fan in his bathroom was noisy and the water trickled out of the shower head (he told the desk clerk about it). There is not a lot of private parking area close by.

Satisfactory for business stay

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Satisfactory clean place to sleep and come and go from it easily.
I simply needed a place to sleep for a couple nights and this was a perfect location. It's easy to park, get into facility, and the room was just as advertised. Breakfast is just a muffin and a piece of fruit but over all the place is a price performer for this area.
