Pros: location
Cons: service and functioning equipment
I've stayed here before and it was fine. This time I got a room that had a plumbing problem. I called maintenance bc the tub wasn't draining properly and they came after a long wait put some Drano and that didn't work. The next day we were still waiting to get the problem corrected at the time we got ready to check out. Not a good experience this time around.

Marriott is a nice place with friendly staff

Posted Jan 19, 2015
I had a perfect time in this hotel. The location is close to George town but a bot far from DC. The metro station is just 10 minutes walk from the hotel and taxis are always available by the main door.Overall, I think this hotel is a nice place to spend your stay in Washington considering its price.

With the cold weather I had to keep the heating on which made the room very dry and affected my skin, my nose, etc. Garage was far away from the entrance of the hotel. To charge $19 per day for this is a bit excessive.

Nice hotel within walking distance of Georgetown.

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: The views are breathtaking. It is very conveniently located to everything.
Cons: We missed the Sunday brunch they used to have.
Location: Georgetown is across the bridge where you can shop, sightsee, eat and drink. The C&O canal is nearby where you can ride bikes, jog, or walk.
We had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the facilities, including the indoor pool and hot tub. It was nice to be able to walk across the bridge to Georgetown to shop and eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of Georgetown University, the Washington Monument; and, the Potomac river. We watched the planes taking off and helicopters going by. You can see the rowers on the river.

Loved walking across Key Bridge to Georgetown!

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: Again, I like the location very much!! I also liked the restaurant: especially the free breakfast with my plan!!
Cons: A couple of things did not work as well in the bathroom: light burned out in ceiling; water fixture to turn-on shower did not work very well.
Location: Again, going into Georgetown is such a treat. It is a $5 taxi or a short walk across the bridge. It was a $11 taxi to the National Gallery of Art!!
Since I could not stay with family, it was important to be comfortable over Thanksgiving. I felt very comfortable!! It is such a good location: family could pick me up for Thanksgiving dinner easily, heading over to my brother's house in Maryland. My friend could swing by easily to take me to church.

Great location, indifferent staff

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff
Location: Georgetown is right across the bridge, so lots to do within walking distance. Rosslyn, Courthouse and Clarendon are also great places to eat and shop.
Our two night stay was okay, but the staff was very indifferent to our existence. Restaurant hostess was clueless and rude, gift shop attendant was untrained, and the desk person didn't even ask how the stay was when we checked out in order for me to tell her my gripes. We also didn't have hot water in the shower in the morning. Next time, I'll stay across the street.
