“Excellent service and beautiful hotel”

From the moment we pulled up, the hotel staff could not have made our stay more comfortable. We were greeted outside by someone who took us directly to our beautiful room (no check in necessary). The bed was comfortable, the shower and bathroom were great, and the bathrobes are always a nice touch. We were sorry to only stay for one night.

“A gem of a Hotel”

We arrived at Morrison House late and tired from a long journey to a very warm welcome. The hotel is charming and the staff ready to help with anything. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean & spacious, if you have forgotten to pack something then most things can be provided. It is located in a great part of Alexandria, just off King street and only 8 blocks from the Metro that takes you into DC. If the walk is too far there is a free trolley that goes from the metro to the harbour every 15 mins from 11.30am. We would definately stay in this hotel again on future visits.

When you visit Alexandria or the Washington DC area, be prepared for congestion and crowds. We "kept our sanity" by going back to our hotel every evening. Peaceful,clean and a staff that never ceased to meet our needs. We'd stay again.....and again....and again

This was a very nice small hotel in Old Town Alexandria. Our room was not huge but well appointed. Because of several receptions, the advertised wine reception was not held. However, the staff offered to either bring wine to our room or serve us a glass of wine in the library! The staff was most attentive-greeting us as we went in and out. I feel that I could go back there in 5 years and they would remember my name.

The bed was soooooo comfortable and the room wonderful and a very welcoming and helpful staff from the front desk to the dining room. Location is perfect, right off King Street in Old Town Alexandria.

“A beautiful and unique oasis in Alexandria”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Morrison House. Entering the hotel feels like entering a gracious home from the past. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable, but we did have trouble stabilizing the room temperature with the thermostat and ended up leaving the window open. But the fresh air was good for sleeping, and when was the last time you were able to even open your window in a hotel? Recommend highly. Alexandria was a perfect place to stay, and we will do this again the next time we come to DC.

“Fantastic Stay”

This is in our all time top three hotel stays. This is an older/historic hotel that has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are not huge, but certainly are large enough and have plush linens. Every employee working at the front desk called us by name, and all the staff worked very hard to make us feel welcome and cared for. I wish we had been able to eat in the dining room for dinner (the menu looked delicious) - breakfast was certainly wonderful. The Metro is a very safe 10-15 minute walk away, and during prime tourist hours, there is a trolley shuttle. I am trying to come up with an occasion just so we can return!
