Very Disappointed

Pros: The location was key. We were able to make all our appointments walking.
Cons: Updating the rooms and mattresses
Location: Walking distance is just a few steps from King Street, if you are wanting to eat and shop, the location could not be beat.
Although the location and staff were excellent, we were not impressed with the facilities. Most uncomfortable bed ever. Didn't sleep the whole 3 nights we were there and ended up checking out early. Hotel very dated, we expected so much more.

Some noise from neighbors, hard to watch a movie. But totally a fine hotel. Will come back. Nice staff. Wine a t the reception.

This was the first trip to Alexandria for my husband and I. The location was perfect. The Morrison House was a very charming hotel with a very attentive staff. We hoped to return. We loved it!

Aircondition in the room was very loud so I couldn't sleep without switching it off. In the bathroom I found 2 disgusting centipedes. The livingroom downstairs was really nice tho and a tea was good.

Relaxed hotel experience

Great experience. Smaller hotel means less noise and guest traffic. Still all the service of a larger hotel. GREAT location convenient to King St. and all it has to offer. Nice change of pace from the Marriots and Westins.

Great Hotel in the Heart of Old Alexandria

Pros: The staff was superb. The facility was also lovely and fit nicely into the architecture of the area. My bathroom was also terrific. Shuttle to DCA!
Cons: I'm not a fan of the "high up" bed. In fact, I stubbed my toe on the little stairs twice. A little larger desk would also have been nice.
Location: There are tons of fabulous little shops and many terrific restaurants within walking distance. Also, many things to do and easy Metro access to DC.
The hotel fit in very nicely with the historic character of the district. It was traditional in the best sense of the word. The sitting room and common areas were very pleasant and the staff was uniformly excellent. The complimentary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening were also an added bonus.

Excellent stay

This place is quaint and well-appointed and the staff is wonderfully attentive. When there was some confusion with the airport shuttle, the staff gave me 15$ for a cab to the airport and called it for me. The room had everything you could think to need for a comfortable stay, and when I realized I'd forgotten my toothbrush, they brought one up to me with toothpaste at no charge. Overall a quiet, comfortable stay. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

The hotel staff was not very helpful. We asked questions out first night about getting into DC and we were given almost no help and never offered any maps until I asked the next morning. I didn't like having my car stuck in the garage and only having the option to valet. When I asked if I could do it myself to avoid valet and they acted like I was moron.
