Not worth even what I paid for it.

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: There was a bed.
Cons: Where do I start. See above.
Location: Within 1/2 mile of 95.
No towels, no TV remote, no shampoo, no hair dryer, dead bugs on the floor, floor peeling, nervous about bed bugs (felt itchy). Hotel manager was smoking inside the front door, both managers I met were in terrible moods. I think I understand why.

Ok for price

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Price
Location: Northern Virginia
This is Spartan, definitely bare-bones. Bur it's cheap. The night we stayed things were quiet, no obvious problems-but you do have to remember it's a cheap hotel. I do wish it were cleaner around the edges, like interior doors, walls & woodwork. How about a deep clean once a year? All sorts of dirty smudges & hand prints. Rooms are decent sized; much easier to move around than many hotels. All in all, we'd stay there again-but we are really, really cheap. If you want more cleanliness & amenities, you'll need to pay a lot more, especially in the region.

Don't Stay

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Shower and hot water
Cons: Tear it down and rebuild
Location: Location was good for everything including a hospital
Very Bad one towel, no extra toilet paper, holes in sheets, hair dryer did not work, no soap, no tissue, toilet made noise all night had to shut door to bathroom, refrigerator frozen up, microwave was very badly burnt inside with missing knobs.

Horrible staff

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, the bathroom was leaking and had a horrible smell.
Reserved the room on Expedia. It said the room would have a refrigerator and a microwave, which the room didn't have. When spoke to the manager, she simply said they must have stopped working so were removed from the room. The room was very dirty.

Nasty, scary hotel.

Posted May 23, 2015
A nasty, scary area. No pool. Furniture from the 1980s. No wash cloths, shampoo, or area guide. It is cheap and the pillows smell good. Spend a bit more and stay away from this dump.

Decent place to stay

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Cheap, cheap, cheap price, close to where we needed to be, and ok enough to tolerate the shortcomings.
Cons: Really needs to be thoroughly cleaned top to bottom, floors refinished, bedspreads & refrigerator replaced.
Location: Great proximity to D.C. & Richmond-so much to do I can't put it all here.
We weren't expecting too much, with the considerably lower than average price. Room was larger than expected; we were able to fit a baby playard in with enough room to walk by comfortably. Room was neat and sort of clean-ish. I do wish the walls & woodwork had been a bit cleaner. Bedspreads were thin & had burnt cigarette holes-but ok enough to use. Everything was rather rough around the edges, but usable. This is an ok option if you just need a cheap place to stay, with decidedly no frills or glamour. Shower was hot when needed, but barely minimal towel supply in room. Refrigerator was old & iffy-don't store baby food in here. Just to chill water bottles. Didn't use microwave. Beds were surprisingly comfortable-we've had worse at much pricier hotels. Room had that funky 'someone smoked in here & we're trying to cover it with chemicals' smell when we first checked in, but gradually faded over our time there. We didn't check out the breakfast situation, so can't comment on that. A/C was ok; not sure if temperature on thermostat was accurate. Area & parking lot was quiet-no loud music or obnoxious behavior. The amazingly low price for the area made putting up with the less-than-stellar things a bit easier.

Disruptive Clientele

Posted Mar 31, 2015 on Hotels
This Motel 6 I feel was rather run down and the clientele that stayed there was undesirable. I had to call the front desk to complain of a noise issue that was to my belief a Domestic Disturbance that I was about ready to call the Police Department for with the male outside yelling and blocking cars in the parking lot to doors slamming and who knows what going on in the room next to me. Once I called the Front Desk the activity quieted down, but I rather doubt I will ever stop at this Motel 6 again.

Cheap for a Reason ...

Posted Mar 25, 2015 on Hotels
Look this is a great deal as long as you aren't into conveniences. If you're looking for a "typical" motel room, this ain't it. It is cheap for a reason. BUT if you're just spending the night then right back on I-95 to wherever the next morning without spending a bunch of money ... then it's perfect. Nuff said.
