“Quality Inn”

Property was OK, a bit tired. Service was good, the breakfast simple but nice (and free). Had trouble with the internet service, but it turned out to be a regional outage, the help line was responsive, but not much they could do.

“Can't wait to go back”

“Good value Hotel”

The maids didn't leave chocolate on the bed, the fridge and microwave could have been bigger, there was only ONE free HBO channel out of the 102 channels total. Also the personal safe was left locked by the previous occupants and I had to call the front desk to get someone to open it so I could use it. Sheesh! Also there was no gym. In other words, you are unlikely to find a better value anywhere near this price range. The amenities are complete (except no gym), including free breakfast , free Internet, and USA Today. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The neighborhood was decent, if not affluent. There is a Denny's across the street, and numerous restaurants within a mile or so.

The adaptor for laptop was not available even in the front desk. It will more convenient for the 'plugs' who from non-US countries.

“Clean and Convenient”

This is a clean, comfortable place that is conveniently located near Mt. Vernon, which was a 15 to 20 minute drive. They have a small, but nice continental breakfast with two areas in which to dine -- either inside or outside. The breakfast included a make your own waffle station, bacon, yogerts, cereals, pre-packaged pastries, juice, milk, coffee, tea. It is not a fancy hotel, but it served the purpose of our one night stay.

“Great value for money”

Very good value for money: the staff is very friendly and helping. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are nice, spacious, beds are confortable. Free internet access, all facilities like fridge, safe, microwave, TV cable... Very quiet if you ask for a room far from the highway. Nice environment. The breakfast included is very convenient: buffet style with everything you need. You also have a lot of restaurants along the highway. Convenient location if you visit Washington DC: located a few miles away (10 minutes max car ride) from the last stop on the yellow line subway station. Parking for the day at the metro station is $4,50. To go downtown, it takes about 20 minutes (about $3,50 a single way to downtown). Very easy, and this hotel is a great value for money compared to competition and most hotels in DC. I work in the hotel industry and without being pretentious, I am used to upscale hotels but I felt very welcomed and very comfortable at Quality Inn. I think some more upscale hotels should take example. Friendliness of staff and well maintained property make you feel that you spent your money at the right place. If I go to DC again, I ll definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations

Alexandria is less expensive than downtown to stay and the area still look great. Washington DC is a beautiful city and it is very pleasant to walk around the white house and visit the free museums...

“Long Way From DC”

We stayed at this hotel because all of the hotels in or close to DC were booked or outrageously expensive. You have to drive from the hotel to go to dinner or anywhere else. The hotel has a very "low budget" look about it, a bit seedy. The room was adequate, but the layout was funky having to squeeze between the end of one bed and the wall. It did have a breakfast, which was convenient.
