“Loved Staying Here”

The staff is wonderful, from front desk to cleaning staff everyone does a superior job here. Yes, it is a budget motel, but everything a cost conscious traveler needs is here. So what if there is no coffee maker in the room; I would rather wait for a really good cup of coffee at Peet's or Starbuck's or the corner diner. The beds at Red Roof are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the traffic noise, even on the street side, is not enough to keep anyone awake. The walk to the Metro at Huntington Station, Yellow Line, is about 20 minutes, and there are buses ($1.75) running up and down Huntington if you don't want to walk. Metro will take you right up to the National Mall in about 30 minutes time, for less than $5, get off at Le Enfant Plaza and you're 2 blocks from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Want to taxi? Front desk can get you one in 10 to 20 minutes time, cost to King Street is $10. I'd do the Metro, it goes everywhere. If you rent a car, DC has traffic liek any city and parking is expensive, plus many streets in the federal area are sort of oddly one way and blocked. And remember, the US Government owns the Red Roof Inn so a stay here is a vote for Recovery!

“Great stay for the price”

I'd read other reviews that the hotel was dirty or had poor service but I arrived at midnight after a very long drive and was relieved to have great, speedy service. I was helped right away, arrived to my room faster than most hotels and enjoyed my restful night. The beds weren't uncomfortable and the room was clean. Overall, a great stay and I'd definitely return if I have to return to that area.

“Very Very Satisfied”

We were very satisfied with the hotel, the staff were phenomenal. We have no complaints! We would stay again without any reservation. They went over and above when answering questions we had. Would highly recommend and would gladly stay there again!

“great price, easy to get into town”

Some of the other hotels down the street were a little scary but Red Roof was nice. I stayed in handicap room - the toilet was run with hot water, so the seat was nice & warm! good price, good sleep.

“Very good stay”

Our last experience at Red Roof Inn was not good. This time more than made up for it. The room was better than expected and all of the desk employees were friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I would give them all 10 out of 10 and even give an 11 to the lady that checked us in Sunday afternoon. Next time we go to DC we will go to this hotel.

“Convenient”

We stayed at this hotel on our way to the auto-train. It was very convenient to the major highways and to old town Alexandria.

“Not the Ritz”

This is an older property. Very convenient to Alexandria and DC. Staff was excellent and it was well worth the price.

“Nice room, no breakfast bar”

The room was nice, quiet (back of the hotel) and clead. Large TV in the room. There was no breakfast bar but I did not check that feature when I booked online. There were no newspapers at the hotel and late at night I was not going to drive to the nearest 7/11. The staff was friendly and helpful.
