Nice hotel for extended stay

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Our room was in great condition - loved the kitchenette. The breakfast bar was a bonus and the staff was accommodating.
Cons: The water in our shower never got past Luke-warm and we were charged for parking that we didn't use.
Location: The location is great - close to Old Town Alexandria's shops and restaurants. The AMC Hoffman theatre is right across the street.
We had an overall average-good experience. The hotel is nice - a little dusty at the moment with some construction going on near the lobby.

Wonderful Hotel

Posted Jan 28, 2015
The hotel was located close to Old Towne and the use of the shuttle was very useful in getting places. The hotel was under construction of a new breakfast area the first two days of our stay but we were able to be the first to use the new area on the third day. It was fantastic. Well thought out! The rooms were very comfortable and even though located close to the metro, you could not hear the noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice place

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Just about everything, except what was mentioned above.
Cons: Get a new driver or have Barry retrain the other one.
Location: Old town Alexandria. Close to D.C.
Wonderful hotel to stay at with family. Large rooms, with kitchen area. A little off the beaten path but a shuttle ride to old town/downtown Alexandria only took about 10 mins. Barry was awesome knew lots of trivia for the area. The other driver wouldn't even speak to you, just turned up the Spanish music and said thanks for tipping before he stopped the van. The Breakfast was every morning was good the kitchen staff were very pleasant. The evening Social from Monday through Thursday was more than a surprise with good food again and free wine. The construction wasn't much of a bother never started work before 8 am and finished by 5.

I enjoyed my stay and had a wonderful time. The room was nice and cozy and I like having a kitchen. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay. The front desk employee was fantastic and so was the breakfast too. I wasn't expecting there to be that nice of a kitchen in my room. Plus it was relatively cheap for Northern Virginia!

Amazing sleep and morning staff

Posted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had an amazing night sleep that night that tops the past month of me getting some sleep. The morning staff noticed an error made by the evening staff and took care of it by the time I checked out that morning. I definitely suggest to others to stay here. It's well worth it, just park in the PMI parking garage to save your money from their parking garage.

Cute hotel, good price, nice location

Had zero trouble checking in and out. Free breakfast was good, and the hotel was in a quiet part of town but very close to the metro. All around positive experience.

Nice hotel close to D.C.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Proximity to D.C. and room layout and amenities. The complimentary hot and cold breakfast every morning was a very convenient treat.
Cons: Parking was $18 a night which can quickly add up if you are staying for the week.
Location: The hotel was only 10 minutes outside of D.C. which was great.
Went to D.C. for a week and stayed at this hotel with my family. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and convenient with all the amenities of home away from home. The staff was always helpful and courteous and the rooms were clean and orderly.

Good hotel, but couldn't connect Playstation to TV

Posted Aug 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great hotel close to the King St. metro station. Rooms were spacious and modern, full kitchen was nice. After business hours and on weekends there is very little happening in the surrounding neighbourhood and little in the way of stores in close walking range. Provided breakfast was better than usual for a place like this. Now for my pet peeve: the hotel has chosen to disable the TV inputs to prevent you from hooking up any external devices. Seems small, but this was really annoying. When travelling with my family I usually bring my Playstation to allow us to watch movies as the kids fall asleep. Seems like a deliberate money grab to force you to pay for the in hotel movies. For a long term stay hotel that doesn't seem acceptable. I learned that trick from my friends at work who have stayed for extended periods in hotels abroad. If I was staying somewhere for an extended stay, I would consider the ability to hook up a game system a must.
