Excellent Value, Service, and LocationPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent service.
Cons: The couch was comfortable but the material was a bit worn.
Location: Duke Street for boutique shops. Stroll along the water. O'Connells Pub for the live music and fun atmosphere.
Alexandria is about a 20-30 minute metro ride to the main attractions in Washington, DC. Public transportation is easy to navigate and well-connected to everything including the airports. Alexandria felt very safe. Location of the Residence Inn is about a five-minute walk to the metro, grocery store, many boutique shops, and restaurants. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the Residence Inn staff and their willingness to go out of their way in providing excellent service. Room/suite has fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, cooking and eating utensils, etc.). Complimentary daily breakfast was good (cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, etc.) and complimentary weekday dinners were simple and tasty (dinner menu varies each evening - pasta, salad, etc.).

Nice hotel, very convenient to family and activitiPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Close to family; close to metro. Room had kitchen.
Cons: I have no suggestions.
Location: The metro and downtown Old Towne are all easily walkable.
We enjoyed staying at the hotel and it was nice to have the amenities, although we were only there overnight. The biggest plus for us was the proximity to family.

Wonderful hotelPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was excellent!
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and fit our needs perfectly. The hotel staff was always helpful, courteous, and kind. The buffet breakfast and evening meals were delicious also. The hotel is in a great location to the Metro. Also, close by is the free trolley that takes you down King Street. We will most definitely stay here again.

Pros: Everything was good. Parking was convenient. Will probably stay again on our next trip.
Cons: No suggestions
Location: Good location to walk anywhere in Alexandria, and is only a short train ride to the DC attractions.
Our second stay at this Hotel. Clean, comfortable room, excellent breakfast each morning, close to Whole Foods, Restaurants, and the Metro. For the most part the Staff was professional and friendly. The young desk guy who checked us in was rude, short sentenced, not helpful, and seemed to resent even the minor inquiries concerning our stay.

Quick stay - was good enoughPosted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
The place was okay. We were there for a stopover only as we got stranded after missing our connecting flight. When we checked in, the guys were very helpful but the guy at the desk when we left wasn't particularly friendly. It was a bit costly but compared to what else was available, it was fine.
