Brand new site in a nice neighborhood.Posted Nov 13, 2013
The facilities are brand new and very spacious. My only complaint is that the surroundings, although nice, are not to the level of the DuPont Circle or Georgetown, yet the price of the lodging is comparably high.

Nicely Appointed, Clean Hotel & Friendly StaffPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The Staff. Property appoinments, and overall cleanliness. Great breakfast selection.
Cons: Hotel needs 3rd elevator. Wait times too long, happen too often. Reconsider TV position in 1BR Suite Living Room. Extend breakfast hours to 10am.
Location: Arlington Suburb of Washington DC. You can do all there is to offer in DC.
This beautifully appointed Hotel, which benefits from a willing to please and knowledgeable staff, would otherwise rank 5 Stars, but for the following reasons: - 2 elevators are not enough for this property. Each attempted elevator ride was met with a wait, and some quiet long waits. - The living room TV in the 1BR Suite was positioned right next to the doorway into the bedroom. Frustrating because, when we tried to put our kids to bed early, the noise kept them up. We were forced to lower the TV to an inaudible level. - Our long weekend was met with an early morning rush on breakfast which ran from 6am to 9am. Great corporate hours, but horrible for families that booked an extended weekend. The rush made breakfast a frustrating experience, which is a shame, because it is a great breakfast. Overall I would recommend this Hotel on the strength of staff and property condition, but only for short lengths of stay. Having to endure frequent and extended waits for elevators is not something I would like to contend on an every day basis.

Nice, New HotelPosted Oct 28, 2013
Location: Location is great! Near Ballston Mall and a 7 minute walk to the Metro stop.
The building is quite pretty, the room very well equipped for a short or long stay, and the breakfast was good. The parking garage is underneath the building and it was easy to find a parking space.

Perfect Hotel for a family of 6Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: everything - seriously, especially the king beds, Exercise rooms were good, great kitchen, breakfast, cleanliness
Cons: maybe skip the lifeguards at the pool?
Location: close to metro to visit DC, groceries and fast food close - great location
Loved staying here! The staff were generous and helpful, breakfast great, rooms spotless and comfortable and spacious. In 7 weeks of travel this place was the best!

Excellent choicePosted Oct 7, 2013
I stayed here because it was close to my destination, not because I needed a kitchen, etc. For an extended stay hotel it was excellent. It's new, spiffy, clean, comfortable bed, helpful staff.

Handy location, friendly staffPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
We needed an overnight location close to two different events. I'm so glad Hotels.com found us this place! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, pretty and well-equipped. The breakfast was tasty and had a lot of choices. My only problem was that the thermostat was not very responsive.

This was my second time staying the the Residence Inn Arlington Ballston and I must say this will be an hotel I go to on the regular whenever I just want to get away from home. Nikko has excellent customer service. The pool was relaxing considering no one was in there and we had it all to ourselves.

New hotel, free food, and close to governmentPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a new hotel that was quite nice to stay in. There was free breakfast with cereal, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, waffles, juice, milk, etc. On M-W there is also free dinner. The location is quite good for any government meetings involving agencies such as DARPA and NSF.
