Reasonably priced hotel close to Dulles airportPosted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Free shuttle to and from the airport.
Cons: The restaurant menu was extremely limited and the food was of medium quality.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient at all times. I was surprised that Internet access is an extra daily charge. The WIFI signal was so weak and slow in my room that it was unusable, but there was an ethernet cable on the desk that I successfully connected to my laptop.

Good price, nice roomPosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Good price
Cons: airport shutter bus
Location: nearby have an airport, hotels, a business building and a museum. Most guests take shutter bus to airport, from airport take bus to downtown.
The hotel room is big and clean, and the free wifi is available in second floor, I still can pick up the free wifi from lobby, other floors need to pay. My only suggestion is on the airport transfer. Most of other big hotels have free shutter buses moving between hotel and airport in 20-30 minutes interval; but for this hotel, you need to make a phone call so that they will send the free bus, I would suggest them to join with other nearby hotels and provide non-stop bus service to guests every half an hour. Currently they do have a cooperation with another nearby small hotel, however the service still need a phone call.

Pretty goodPosted Sep 9, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights. It's a below par motel with a balcony. We were very cautious to touch things because there were rusted lamps, the fridge was peeling, and the wifi was extremely slow. They need serious updates like a new bigger tv, more counter space, better microwave and fridge also. We liked that it was close to the beach...

The room was unsatisfactory . From the complimentary glasses being dirty to the stained carpet in front of the bathroom door scrubbed until the pile came off the carpet . To the window frame that had rotted an curled up at the edge and the painted over rotten spots in it . Also to add there was a crack in the grout below the shower floor that spanned the width I the opening that had black mold creeping out of it. I cleaned that myself because it was gross. I have stayed at the Sheridan in Mars Pensilvania prior and it was the most amazing hotel experience I have ever had. This Sheridan however was poorly maintained with all the weaknesses showing . I feel as though I paid good money and lots of it (even with the discount) to stay in a college dorm room . I spent money to have a nice weekend away with my girlfriend and found myself staying in a less than satisfactory place . Sorry I had to say all this but I'm so frustrated .

Stay here a lotPosted Sep 7, 2014
I stay at this Sheraton whenever on business in Herndon, the VA Tech Corridor. The staff is always excellent, great rates on the weekend, very clean and the beds are the most comfortable ever! Only problem can be noise. The walls aren't the best at keeping out noise from the next room or the hallways. And slamming doors reverberate up and down the halls. So if you stay and want to sleep in, it is near impossible.

Great Place to stay off the beaten pathPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Not on the beaten path, but right in the thick of things too!
Cons: Loved the stand up shower versus the tub, but it could have been a little better maintained or updated to match the caliber of a "Sheraton" hotel.
Location: Perfect...not on the beaten path, but still near everything!
Loved the room and furnishings but have a couple items I wish were better. First, the HVAC system seemed to have a mind of its own. It shut itself off when not in the room (I assume to save energy), so we arrived back from outings and it was rather warm and took a while to cool off again. The last item is the bathroom. Loved the stand up shower versus the tub, but it could have been a little better maintained or updated to match the caliber of a "Sheraton" hotel. It seemed a little less elegant than what I would expect from Sheraton. And maybe I'm nit-picking, so don't misinterpret my comments because overall, my stay was SUPER!!
