Spacious.Fantastic Location.Airport Shuttle. Food!

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Room Cleanliness and Smell.
Location: Airport nearby. Restaurants nearby. Short cab ride from Washington Union Station.
Spacious Rooms. Location Location Location. Within 5 minutes of Washington National Airport. Airport shuttle is frequent (They seem to have a fleet of them). Hotel has a bar and restaurant in it which is great when arriving late in the evening. Rooms are fine but mine did have that smoked in smell. Oh well. No biggie. Staff was friendly. Would stay here any day instead of a cut rate hotel . Oh Also, Short cab ride from Washington Union Station. (like 15 bucks)

Beautiful view

Posted Jan 27, 2015
My room was clean with dated furniture. The heat system continued to shut off all night and was blowing cold air. The view of the area was great but the window wasn't clear. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Thank you for sharing your experience about your recent visit. I am sorry the bedding was not to your liking and that the safe and garage gates did not work properly. A good stay starts with a good night sleep and usually our guests are impressed with the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed along with both our feather pillows and hypo allergenic pillows which should be in all of our rooms. Our safe, underground parking fees are very competitive and I know how frustrating it is to have to pay for something when you think it should be included. We will certainly follow up on all of your concerns so that others are not disappointed. Again, thank you for your feedback and please do stay with us again so that we can demonstrate our commitment to your comfort. Warmest Regards,

A liitle run down

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: The bed.
Cons: A renovation of the rooms
Location: Horrible location
Disappointed. The location isn't very pleasant and the hotel itself is old and a little run down. Stains on the carpet and broken sink. I was expecting at least two sinks. I did get a deal on the room. I would have been very upset to pay the full price for the conditions that were present.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent visit. I am sorry the location and the building did not meet your expectations and that the room was not in the condition our standards demand. The hotel completed a full public space renovation only 2 years ago with all new marble, lighting, and furniture and then just 5 months ago we re-carpeted all of our guest rooms and corridors. Again, I am sorry it was not to your liking. A good stay starts with receiving a clean crisp room with everything in perfect working order. We will follow up on all of your concerns so that others are not disappointed. As you know the hotel is just outside of the Washington DC line and convenient to all the major highways and Reagan National Airport. Our shuttle will quickly take you to the subway and shopping which is actually faster than walking from closer in hotels. Regardless, I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. Again, thanks for your comments and please do visit us again so that we can demonstrate our commitment to your comfort. Warmest Regards

HORRIBLE! Absolutely the worst front desk attitude

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: NOTHING, HORRIBLE ATITTUDES ALL OVER FROM EVERYONE; PLASTIC PERSONA.
Cons: READ MY EXPERIENCE AND YOU THINK ABOUT IT!
Location: Yeah, that would have been nice if I could have actually asked anything
I went to check in, there were two girls working the desk, all had very sour and bitter attitudes, probably 20 something's. I felt immediately ostracized. I asked to see the room first, prior to taking it as I wanted to ensure cleanliness. OMG, OMG...OHHHH...OMG..I am further ostracized, told the room is clean 'I want to check please as I have had a lot of bad experiences', OMG piercing eyes into me now...Then she had to call the Pentagon, White House, then the FBI Director for approval. I finally got escorted to my room vigorously as I was thrown away by another person with an attitude. Tried to ask for cab services in the morning, nope, just an attitude and pointing at person sitting on a bench who was an unlicensed and unregistered and uninsured and non chauffeur overcharging for transport services by about 100%. I would be willing to bet they all had a scheme worked out. Blue Top and Red Top cab services, give them a call and price request. The morning I was leaving, went again, relentlessly to front counter where man slopped over side of desk chatting with front desk reception 'excuse me, I said', eyes and attitude-then I asked about the shuttle going to airport and the time it leaves and so on. The man said, "let me call the driver", picked up his walkie-talkie, fingered it a bit and put it back and said nobody here, I will try calling driver again in few minutes. He was the driver! I stood outside 15 min. in 30 degree weather. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for sharing your experience about your recent visit. I am sorry that our staff made you feel uncomfortable and that you were not satisfied with our transportation options. As a Sheraton we make it a point to connect with each guest so that they feel welcome and we can give them the service our guests expect. With regard to our transportation options we do have speed dial access to call taxis to the hotel but as you know they can take a few minutes to get here. Often times our guests prefer to take advantage of the sedan service that is available right away without waiting and the prices are similar to that of a taxi but of course it is always up to the guest how they wish to travel. Our hotel always has two shuttle drivers on duty and while the driver you encountered was not on his route the other driver may have been close by for an easy pickup. Regardless, I am sorry we made you feel we were not trying to help. Again, thank you very much for sharing your experience and please do visit us again so that we can demonstrate our commitment to your comfort. Warmest Regards,

The bed was horrible. The sheets were cheap and scratchy and not very clean. Our bathroom smelled of mildew. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the hotel in general was beautiful.

Thank you very much for sharing your concern about your recent visit. I am sorry that the bedding was not up to the Sheraton standards our guests are accustomed to. A good stay starts with a good night’s sleep and you can be sure we will follow up with your concerns so that others are not disappointed. As a Sheraton hotel we do provide linen with a 300 thread count and our beds are famous in the industry called the Sweet Sleeper bed, I regret it was not to you taste. We will follow up with our staff and our linen processing company to make sure that our standards are being met and that all of our guests have the best stay possible. Again, thanks so much for your feedback and please visit us again very soon. Warmest Regards,

Great hotel, terrible location.

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Fantastic facilities.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Lousy location. Nothing to do within walking distance. The hotel has great views of downtown DC and the Pentagon, but it's isolated on a hill.
Located on a hill overlooking the Pentagon and downtown Washington DC, the hotel offers great rooms, quality service and a nice bar and restaurant. But if you think you might want to walk over to the Metro station or nearby Pentagon City shopping mall, you'll have to hike quite a ways, which, in lousy weather, isn't a good option. Overall, if you want a nice place to stay and don't plan on leaving your room, it's a great option. But I wouldn't stay there long unless I had my own transportation, because you'll end up taking a taxi or Uber everywhere.

Thanks so much for your feedback about your recent visit. I am glad to see you found the hotel service and products to your liking. I do want to apologize that we were not able to communicate effectively our shuttle service which takes you right over to the Pentagon City mall and subway station. It is very convenient and often times more efficient than walking over from hotels that may seem closer. Again, thanks so much for your comments and please do come and visit us again very soon.
