“great hotel off busy interstate”
The hotel was great! It was close to dining and shopping areas, and right off the interstate.
“Great Hotel”
I found the hotel staff to be very helpful and attentive. They were able to call us a cab when we needed one and were very friendly and approachable at the front desk.
“Much better than expected.”
I think people don't give this hotel enough credit. I had read the reviews beforehand and they didn't seem too great. The main reason I chose the Sheraton is for the price, but i was really rewarded. The location is great, really close to everything I needed. as soon as you walk in, there is this luxurious environment. My first thought was "wow this is too good, did i show up at the right hotel?" but yes this was what i paid for. the staff was excellent and the room was fantastic. I am definitely staying there in the future.
“Will definitely go back again!”
Conviently located next to Tysons corner and Dulles international airport. Also, there is the american plaza closeby for grocery shopping and several restaurants.
“Pros and Cons but mostly Pros”
Pros----Our large bed was very comfortable and the TV had a large screen which was really nice. They offered a special of 5.00 coupons for each day you turned down having your room cleaned so we took advantage of that and turned it in for coffee and a pop in the hotel. Our dog was allowed to stay for no extra charge. We left clothes in the closet when we left, which we never do, and were sure that we would never get them back but we contacted the hotel and they sent them to us without charging us. I got them in 2 days! Cons----We got back to our room late this one evening and thought we would just eat supper in the hotel Restaurant. An Oriental guy was the host and he brought us menus and seated us and we never saw him for 20-30 minutes so we left and went out to eat . It was 8:00pm, we were the only ones seated, the restaurant was to stay open till 10:00 pm.
“Sheraton Reston - Try Something Else”
One of my least enjoyable hotel stays in 18 years of business (mostly very pleasant) travel. Hotel shuttle at Dulles airport was quite off schedule; many other hotel vans came and went, and came and went again, in the 45 minutes I waited for the Sheraton's. The Sheraton placed me in a handicap-accessible room (I am not handicapped), which meant that the room had an industrial feel bathroom that consisted of my shower, toilet, and vanity all in one area with no floor separation. As a result, my shower water flooded my vanity and toilet area, and I had to coat the floor with bath towels and dry and curl my hair out in the main room without a mirror - to avoid standing in a pool of water. The manager did offer a new room when I called to vent, and she expressed surprise that I was in that room as they had plenty of standard rooms. I was staying 2 nights, but with a very very busy schedule, I did not have time to pack up and accept their offer to move to a better room. The room itself felt dingy, and the bathroom door was heavy and weighted, feeling like a hospital or public bathroom. I love a good cup of coffee while preparing in the morning, but alas, it was not to be be, as they had outfitted the coffee maker with the wrong size coffee pouches. The room had a potentially nice balcony to enjoy a late night cup of tea, but the hotel key-locked the sliding door, so it was not an option - (really?). Overall, just a strange and uncomfortable stay.
“Definitely will go back!”
We have stayed at this property in the past and will certainly stay again.
“Can't get much better”
We really loved this hotel. The pool was very nice as well as quiet and not crowded. Our room was spacious and as clean as can be. We ordered room service in the morning. The food was delicious and arrived in about 20 mins during a busy Sunday morning. I asked to pay cash instead of charging it to my room and they handled it very smoothly. I love that the hotel is right near Reston town center. You can spend an entire day shopping and eating there. Overall a very clean and comfortable hotel with wonderful service in a great area...and for a great price too. We will absolutely be back.
“Just perfect, great price!”
We chose the Sheraton Reston as it was close to a friend's home but also near the Reston Town Center and was VERY reasonably priced. Location, cleanliness, and comfort were great. Loved the bed, linens, etc. Free parking was a plus. We initially chose one king bed for our family of 4 and realized we should have chosen a room with 2 doubles. For the second day, they very kindly moved us to a 2 double bed room, which was perfect for us and even more comfortable. The breakfast buffet at the Syrah Restaurant was perfect, and everyone there was courteous. The pool looked great but unfortunately hadn't opened yet for the season or we would have checked it out. We will definitely come back to stay the Sheraton in Reston when we visit next!
“Great place to stay”
