Nice hotel, great location

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The bedroom was separate from the living area with french doors. Sofa bed was comfortable.
Cons: The pillows need to be replaced. Put heavier curtains on french doors to bedroom for more privacy.
Location: The location is great, close to interstate. Musuems & monuments about 10 minutes away. Shopping close by, great variety of dining walking distance.
Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable but a little bit dated. We had a king suite with sofa bed that could comfortably sleep 4-5 people.

Close to D.C., nice town, but still mediocre

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: It was close to D.C., and in a nice, historical town.
Cons: Get working refrigerators, active bathroom ventilation, better shower heads, and controllable water pressure.
The in-room refrigerators don't work, they're basically coolers. We sat on the edge of the bed, and the mattress flipped up off the frame. Our room was small, despite being billed as a suite. The A.C. barely worked. The water pressure in the shower was way too strong and uncontrollable. The shower felt like needles no matter what setting you changed it to, and the shower curtain would flap and fly open. No ventilation in the bathroom meant the entire room would get super humid and foggy. It wasn't a very good experience.

Good morning Tony, thank you for giving us your feedback from your recent stay. I am sorry to learn that we could not meet your expectations. Please accept my apologies for the issues you had with our suites. We do have refrigerators available and our staff would be happy to bring one to your room. Water pressure is an individual preference and some people like a hard shower and other people like it soft. I hope you will give us another opportunity when your travels bring you back to Old Town Alexandria. Regards, Alfred Matter General Manager

Reservation and Keys

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The rooms
Cons: Door locks
I had hoped by booking 2 mo. in advance I could have gotten 3 rooms on the same floor. I was surprised at check in that we were all on different floors. Seemed everyone had problems with their key cards not working. Aside from that we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very comfortable. Our morning room service was great. Just coffee and rolls. Excellent coffee.

Close to Old Town Alexandria

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Location, cost
Cons: Stop charging for internet. Seriously, even McDonald's gives you free wifi.
Location: Food, shopping, historical sites.
Stayed in a king suite with a balcony. The balcony was too small to bring a couple chairs out - not that two chairs were available to bring out. The view was mostly obstructed by the building across the street. The living area was a bit small with standard, extra firm, hotel furnishings. Overall the room was comfortable and pleasant. The location is fantastic if you want to walk around Old Town for a day, and the room is just a place to sleep. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking is very convenient.

Nice place to stay!

Pros: I like how the living room was seperate from the bedroom.
Location: There are a few restaurants around the hotel. It's a short drive to King Street.
The pool was a big hit with the kids. Location is bit far from metro but still walkable.

Pros: The great service in quite neighborhood.
Cons: Hotel was great. Flight was great. I'd like to receive Expedia reward points for booking of both. But I was offered to sign up for rewards after pay.
Location: King Street All of DC!
The Sheraton is a lovely hotel in Alexandria. Loved walking to King Street.
