Home away from Home

Pros: Staff from the front desk to the dining room to the shuttle drivers were pleasant and capable.
Cons: Internet connection to smart phone
Location: Air and Space Museum at Dulles. Wonderful.
My membership in IHG was honored and I was "upgraded" to a fabulous suite. ....Although I would have been very comfortable in the original room. I even added an extra night so I could enjoy the amenities of the hotel that I would miss if I had moved on.

Great place to stay for Washington DC visit

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location, free wi-fi, the complementary shuttle bus that takes you anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel.
Cons: The air conditioning in our room was a little temperamental.
Took our 2 nephews (11 & 13) to Wash. DC as a reward for their good grades. The 2-bedroom suite was perfect! We were even more pleased to find out it also had 2 bathrooms. The pool can in handy after long days walking the capital. This location will be even better at the end of July 2014 when the new Metro line opens (won't have to take a bus to get to Metro station).

Cheap college-housing-type construction

Posted Jun 23, 2014
The overall stay was ok. Room was clean, the property is in good shape and the staff is nice. That said, I think I do not expect anything less from a chain hotel these days. The construction is reminiscent of my college days, when I could distinctly hear people walking in the floor above or coming down the stairs, or talking outside. I was able to (almost) sleep fine with that, but on Friday, it seemed that management was unable to tame some rowdy guests. Noise went all the way into the early hours of the morning. Location is acceptable, though not the closest you can get from the airport.

Best Value and Luxurious Suite

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Had a really nice pool, cute lifeguards didn't hurt. Don't have either of those at home. Two sided basketball court with balls at front desk.
Cons: Could be closer to CT. Have not been to DC since my 8th grade school trip and I am 42. Probably won't be another 30 yrs B4 I get back to DC/Herndon.
Brought my Lithuanian sister in law and family to DC area. Shopped Expedia to find best deal for a suite that could accommodate 4 adults and 2 younger kids(4,8). HOLY COW! Our room scenario could not have been better, pool, restaurant, laundry, etc right outside our door. 3 flat screens! Kids watched in one room and adults in the living room. Kitchen was beautiful, looked almost like an HGTV kitchen, well stocked, two full baths were both very nice and modern. We had hit traffic at the end of our trip so when we checked in we were starving and just going to throw our suitcases in the room and go for a bite. The guys at the front desk told us to grab a microwave dinner from the cooler near front desk and feed the kids a little now so they don't go crazy, no charge. Customer service was incredible, thanks guys. Free breakfast buffet was not a normal buffet, it was awesome. Oh, did I mention that Tues-Thurs they also do a FREE dinner buffet with basically unlimited beer and wine? We were there for Tues dinner and it was BBQ Pork Sliders and honestly among the best I've had(monthly dinner menu is on the fridge door in your room). 6 people with drinks, dinner would have cost us $xxx, breakfast $xx = $xx. I'm pretty good at simple math, by my calculations, I MADE $65 by staying at Staybridge. Did Atlantic City, DC, Hershey PA, NY, and Boston(Go Sox). In law's favorite part of trip, DC, not the city, Staybridge Suites. You guys are great. Keep it up!

Cons: late breakfast
Location: nearby supermarket / shops, great aerospace muesem by airport ..use the shuttle great accomodation pre or post DC whilst in transit
pleasing hotel, quiet, friendly good value. i was by myself but unit would be great for a family including large fridge/ cooking facilities. Adequate furnishings. BBQ area by pool Did not get the breakfast as I slept in . ( so quiet and undisturbed ) Helpful staff lent me their own 120 V usb connector, wifi. good local/airport complementary shuttle, unfortunately does not pick up late airport arrivals after 10 pm. travelled to DC using hotel shuttle to Dulles and caught the metrobus to downtown dc and the subway.
