MiserablePosted Nov 15, 2013
Location: Just stopped though
I booked a King Size bed room and when I arrived I was forced to a Queen. The room smelled like SMOKE, HEAVILY, and the bathtub was supposed to be a Jacuzzi tub, and it was broken. I was offered absolutely nothing for my inconvenience. BAD BAD BAD experience

Cons: Just about everything.
The hotel staff was quite in the hurry to clean the room on our last day. Due to the very lacking hot breakfast they posted on their large street sign, hot must have meant coffee or toast, we went to a close by restaurant at 8 am before taking our items out of our room and using the bathroom for which we had paid. Returning to our room by 845 am, we found the room cleaned. Yes, our suitcase was by the door but, really?? When we arrive, the sheets on the bed were not tucked under the mattress, the heating unit when initially turned on smelled like urine and the decor wasn't great either. The carpet did not go fully to the edges of the floor, the wallpaper was pieced together terribly and the exhaust fan in the bathroom had a very heavy coating of grime. I know this isn't an expensive place to stay so, you can't expect great but, much to my frustration, there were 5 other hotels within less than a quarter of a mile that we're showing cheaper prices on their outdoor signs! Unfortunately, this hotel only accepted my reservation by charging my credit card immediately. 2 months prior!! I would recommend looking at almost every other hotel choice before ever staying at a Super 8 again. This was a terrible example for this chain. Oh, and they chased people out of the "breakfast" area because it was after 9 am. Their "hot breakfast" stops at 9, though it never truly begins.

Location was good, was close to where business wasPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: One thing good was outside door to room, and had an elevator to get to 3rd floor.
Location: Went to Virginia to go to state fair, was close to expressway to go to fair so was in good place.
First night was ok, but when came back to room on second night had to get a new key. Feel they should have told me in advance that key was only good for one night. Their was not enough big towels in room for both myself an spouse. Also their was no smoke deteactor in room, was just open spot in ceiling. Remote for tv had tape holding battery in an had to often push battery back in place to get to work.

Picked this because it was cheap!Posted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: It was close to the interstates and was a great price.
Cons: At least in room 321, put a proper telephone jack on the wall!
Location: We went into D.C., not a terribly long trip. Had it not been for the government shutdown, we would have done more.
This hotel has great access to the interstates. Jerry checked us in, and he was very helpful and friendly. Was a little off put by the headboard bolted to the wall, at an angle. The telephone jack wasn't there; the cord just went into an open hole in the wall. The beds were clean and comfortable. Pillows were great. Shower was a little hard to use, but sufficient, for the price. The refrigerator had a top shelf, that only had half a shelf. We put things in the first time and they fell to the bottom. T.V. and channel selection was fine. As two women traveling alone, we felt very safe the entire time. We did not use the cleaning staff. There was no problem with them, we just didn't use them. The breakfast bar was sufficient, again, for the price. We lacked for nothing. I also dealt with, I hope I have this correct, Pranay Shah. Very helpful and pleasant.

Horrible Nightmare !!Posted Apr 11, 2013
When we arrived at the Hotel we had to stand outside for 15 min in the cold while the guy got our key for the room. Then when we got into the room we couldn't get our door shut all the way without slamming it extremely hard & you couldn't lock the door. The lamp shades were all tore up and slit, there were 4 holes in the wall, the bathroom had brown sticky stuff all over the door, wall & floor, the carpet was dirty, and the beds both had burn holes through the sheets & comforters. This is by far the WORST Hotel I have ever been to. I really don't know how they manage to stay open !!!! I have stayed at many Super 8 Hotels in the past & have never had a problem, but this one in Fredericksburg, VA was a nightmare & I will Never stay there again! You couldn't even give this Hotel a 1 star rating! Dirty, Dirty, Dirty !!!!!
