“Graet DC hotel”
excellent service, clean hotel, friendly front desk, and great that it is so close to mall and metro. Only a 10 to 15 min ride to downtown DC. would definitely stay again.
“Highly Recommend”
Excellent !!
“Pentagon City Ritz Carlton near airport”
adjacent to Metro and shopping mall very comfortable good food
“Excellent for D.C. visits, however . . .”
This was our second stay at the Pentagon City Ritz Carlton. We tend to stay at Ritz-Carltons rather than at properties in other hotel groups because we only travel a couple of times each year. Although many Ritzes are actually more business-oriented hotels, we use them as urban resort-type hotels. In general, the Ritz standards have been upheld at this property, which I understand to be owned by Marriott (others, such as the Ritz in Chicago, are owned by other hotel companies). We have been staying at Ritz-Carltons since they were actually owned and operated by Ritz-Carlton (the staff at Pentagon City told us the properties are still managed by Ritz-Carlton, irrespective of ownership). The 10th floor room was bright, clean and best of all, quiet. Our previous room was on the Club Level (18th floor), and it seemed to be under or close to the air conditioning equipment on the roof. There was a nearly constant droning hum in that room. One cautionary note: if you are a member of the Ritz-Carlton Rewards program, DO NOT book the hotel through Expedia or any other third party other than a travel agent, unless you are willing to forego your reward points. This Ritz-Carlton property would not give us our points because we had booked through Expedia. Although it makes sense because money is saved if the room is booked through a company like Expedia, we would rather have paid a bit more and received our points.
“Great location to Petagon and Shopping”
Highly recommend for convenience to government offices and shopping.
“Perfect”
perfect trip. idea service and location.
“Not worth the extra money and not Ritz quality”
I have stayed in many Ritz properties. I was shocked at the Pentagon City location. The front desk staff did not have the room that was confirmed and did not seem to care that I was unhappy. This happened to another woman checking in at the same time. They did not bring my suitcase to my room. They had a terrible problem each morning with cabs and much confusion at the front lobby. The room was ok, but the bathroom was small and old. Overall, I can go somewhere else for this price and get much more.
“Fabulous Experience”
We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City. Perfect location in a beautiful area with a Metro stop and a mall right outside. The hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff efficient and friendly. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent. Appreciated that there are a number of other dining options in the area as well. A perfect get-away.
“Willing to stay here again”
restaurant and room service food was quite good. was planning to go to some of the better restarants in town as we usualy try to do on vacation, but ended up eating in the hotel multiple times and not missing going out.
“Great Stay”
Went to DC for a 'mother/son adventure' (he's six) and we had a great time. The hotel is conveniently located off of the Metro and in the mall. We never took a taxi. The only problem was that breakfast service was slow (extremely), but everybody was really apologetic about it. The staff was welcoming and kind and really took in interest in all of the children who were staying there. Unfortunately, the pool was cold and there was no whirlpool during our stay. They claimed that it needed maintenance, but I wondered how long it had been in non-working order.
