Pros: The larger rooms and the location close to the IwoJima Memorial and Arlington Cemetary.
Cons: The work out room is really small and stuffy.
Location: Iwo Jima Memorial. Arlington Cemetary.
The hotel is what I expected. Older with bigger rooms. It was less expensive than the Mariott or Hampton inn.

Nice place, nice pricePosted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Proximity to the Metro, price compared to downtown hotels
Cons: Fixtures, especially in the bathroom, seemed somewhat dated. Everything worked and was in pretty good shape.
Location: Very little to do nearby, but the Metro can get you to anything you want to see. Arlington National Cemetery is close, but the main entrance is not.
This is a very nice basic hotel. Not a lot of frills, but we got a nice big room that comfortably accommodated four adults. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well even though our room faced Hwy 50. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Metro station on wide sidewalks and well-lit streets. No restaurant, no indoor pool, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would consider staying there again.

Nice hotel close to DCPosted Mar 23, 2015
Hotel had given away our reservation as we reached there at around 10pm. They helped us with alternate room and charged lesser than our reservation because of room type. The room was very spacious with kitchenette and nice office area. We were there only for one night and were happy with stay.

Enjoyable stay.Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Close to the Metro and centrally located to tourist sites.
Cons: Rooms were being renovated, so Management is being proactive to continue making improvements.
Clean room, excellent shuttle service and the fresh fruit and cookies in the lobby was a nice treat.

A little out of the way, but worth seeking outPosted Feb 28, 2015
I always stay at this hotel when visiting the National Science Foundation, which is currently four stops west of the Rosslyn Metro stop (but scheduled to move soon) while this hotel is south of Rosslyn. I like the large suites with fairly full kitchens, the quiet location, and the relatively low rates compared to the expensive hotels within a few blocks of NSF. This is within (somewhat long) walking distance of Arlington National Cemetery, and close to the Iwo Jima Memorial. To get to it on foot from the Rosslyn Metro stop, you do have to hike about a half mile, and I'd recommend looking closely at a map before trying it. There is a shuttle between the Metro and the hotel, but I believe it runs only during peak business hours. (I don't mind the walk, and have taken that shuttle only once.)

Very nice hotelPosted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: We liked that it was close to the Metro, the Arlington National Cemetary, restaurants were nearby.
This is a very nice hotel, very clean and close to the Metro which was quite convenient for us. This was our first time in Arlington/Washington and we were pleased with choosing the Virginian Hotel for our two night stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Virginian SuitesPosted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: I really liked that we were able to get pretty much everywhere in DC via the Metro.
Location: We only toured DC but was very easy to get to via the metro.
Could not have asked for a better place. Our room was neat, clean and very comfortable. It's location had easy access to the Metro, with transportation there on the hotel's shuttle. The lobby always had fresh fruit, cookies, hot coffee, tea, and water readily available. The desk staff were all helpful and friendly, especially "B." He always had a smile on his face and greeted you as you entered the hotel each and every time.

Enjoyable and relaxing roomPosted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Location, services, room size.
Location: Great location. Just minutes from the subway station (they even have a free shuttle to take you there). Just on the north side of Arlington Cemetery.
I chose the hotel for the location (one subway station to DC and just north of Arlington Cemetery). Was surprised by the size of the room and liked what the kitchen included. The bed and pillows were really nice, the room had a desk and chair also which was useful and they had free coffee at the lobby.

For the price-"excellent".Posted Jan 27, 2015
I have been here 5-6 times now. One time the oven didn't work, but the staff is always helpful and you just can't beat the price/convenience to Georgetown and DC. (And Arlington Nat'l Cemetary, of course).
