“Great service”

I enjoyed my stay here! They had excellent customer service & I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. The lounge was nice. I was expecting a little more from the rooms however. The room was a little small, especially with the king size bed. The bed was very comfortable however. There was no microwave. The bathroom was very small. There was a standard tub which surprised me since the rest of the hotel was so elegant. Overall, I had a good experience &I would stay again if I caught another deal.

“Thanksgiving Holiday 2011”

Great place to stay and their waiting for you at the door and pool is nice, along with sauna. Full Time Life Guard a plus............. Close to one of the bigger Malls in the area

“Great Weekend Getaway”

I live near the hotel but wanted a romantic getaway. With the affordable price and familiar location, it was a great weekend. The hotel staff even surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne on ice! Very comfy and cozy bed as well. The lighting is a bit dim and outdated though.

“Great family time”

I picked this hotel because of its customer rating along with location. It was close to the Washington, DC tourism area which was my reason for my visit. My kids enjoyed the pool which had a lifeguard on duty. The shopping was excellent at Tyson Mall 1 & 2. Great restaurants along with the feeling of NYC 5th Ave shopping.

“Service With A Smile”

From the moment we checked in at the front desk, we noticed the staff smiling, not only in return to our smiles, but through initial eye contact and facial observations. The more we interacted with staff, the friendlier the atmosphere and commitment toward fufilling requests and making appropriate suggestions for a pleasurable stay. Although we stayed only two nights, it was first class all the way! As Arnie Schwartzenegger said time and again, "I 'll be back." Nothing could be more accurate than that.

Area recommendations

Park the car and take the shuttle to the Metro and let public transportation take you to where you want to go. There is so much to see and enjoy within cruising distance for the friendly folks employed by the Metro.

“Great hotel, missed some details.”

The hotel was nice and the last remodel it had was very nice. Some little things were just annoying like the hot water in the sink would not get hot. The shower was slow to warm up.

“I was extremely happy with my stay here. Hotel staff was more than helpful in every area.”

From the time we checked in to our checkout , the staff was top notch. We were looking for a place to eat in the neighborhood and we asked one of the staff and he pointed us to this brazillian restaurant down the street and it was fantastic. Upon arriving we discovered our room was right next to the elevator and we asked to be moved and they couldnt have been more accomodating. My shade in my room was stuck and i couldnt open it and we went out for a bit and when we returned it was open. I gave this hotel a 5 because it truly met my needs. Above and beyond. Very friendly staff, All. I will definetly return here next year to see the sights i didnt have time to see and I will return to this hotel.

Getting there

They are doing ALOT of construction with bridges and such so leave yourself plenty of time to get around. The last 8 miles to our hotel from the highway were a crawl. We werent at a standstill but a crawl for 8 miles still.

Getting around

The metro is the way to travel if you are going into Washington DC. Very easy to navigate and it takes you to all the main sight seeing destinations.
