No Surprises

Pros: Location. We were coming from a basketball game and going to Estes Park in the morning. I liked the AARP discount, too, of course.
Cons: Parking was quite full and cramped.
Location: A Village Inn on the west side of the parking lot. A Starbucks perhaps a half-mile east.
Despite its propinquity to I-25 and to 120th Avenue, the hotel was quiet. I assume this is largely because it sits in a depression. The room was as required, comfortable (if a bit warm). We were well treated at our arrival and left without fuss about 6:45 a.m.

Never again!

Pros: the location
Cons: It's FILTHY and the continental breakfast is nothing but cheap carbohydrates with even cheaper spreads served in a filthy lobby.
Location: It's close to our daughter and son in law who have a small home, so we chose not to inconvenience them. Fortunately there are many other hotels nearby
Our first clue should have been the filthy lobby. There was a quarter of an inch of dirt on the baseboards there and the tile floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in weeks. We should have demanded our refund right then, but it was late and after having driven over 1100 miles, we were tired. We then got our room keys and headed for the outside elevator which was even dirtier than the lobby. We went into the room without our luggage and with a small flashlight checking for bedbugs and fortunately didn't find any. We had brought along dollar store flip flops so our feet never touched the floors--especially the carpeting which fortunately didn't have any obvious spots on it. That night there was a loud argument outside our door on the cat walk. We almost called the police and should have called the desk, but we feared retaliatin. The next morning we found construction boots thrown on the cat walk and a cat on our windowsill. I'm highly allergic to cats. We told the hotel staff and they must have gotten rid of it while we were gone for the day. They said it was likely owned by some of the crews who were staying there. Breakfast was awful--cheap carbohydrates with plastic knives so thin that I couldn't even put cream cheese on a bagel with them. Who knows what brand of spread was offered as substitute for butter. Again, we didn't eat near the walls and never ate there again and will never go to a La Quinta again.

I would recommend for a quick weekend stay. Had no issues checking in, checking out, they cleaned the room to standard, very pleased.

Worst La Quinta I've Visited!

This was a five night business trip. Internet wifi was good, but the rooms lack wall outlets. Some outlets were so packed with plugs they looked like a fire hazard. All neighbors were noisy. I would guess they allow long term tenants, which was annoying when you're trying to sleep before a business meeting the next day and people outside are talking loudly until 1:00am every night. Another negative is all doors are outside facing. There are no internal hallways to room doors which is a security issue. The bathroom door had to be lifted to close it, otherwise it would scrape across the floor and jam. All room fixtures are outdated. The positives are the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. La Quintas are usually nice three star establishments that I would and do gladly stay at. Will I stay here again?... Not a chance!

If you can get a great deal and don't want any frills this is a good place to stay. Rooms are a little run down and the pool is outdoors so seasonal use only. The hot water knob in the shower was stripped and almost unusable. Would stay again if the price was cheaper than the other places close by.

Home for thanksgiving holiday

Cons: See above
TV control did not work properly. Room too hot or too cold. Third day no room service no clean towels. Did not want linen change but beds not made, trash not dumped beds very uncomfortable
