“3 days in Thornton”
The outside and public areas indicate this hotel has been here awhile. I checked in dog-tired after a day of work, and was not heartened by the appearance. I checked in and got my key card, went upstairs - the card didn't work. I went back downstairs, they made another key, it didnt work. I went back downstairs, the made another key, it didn't work. I went back downstairs and the the check in clerk said, you know, maybe that lock doesn't work - I'm going to put you into another room. I actually got in that room on the first crack. I really think after the second trip down, the clerk should have sent someone to accompany me up to the room,to make certain I got in. And the clerk seemed to think it was kind of funny... which at 6:30 p.m., it wasnt. Surprisingly the room was quite well appointed - even tho there was the faint hint of smoke from years gone by. The free breakfast was fine. I got this room on the super deal on Expedia, so I didn't know where I was going until I booked it.. probably won't do that again...
