Next to town but feels in the country

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Delightful place The host Margaret was vert friendly and welcoming. We only spent an overnight but would be happy to spend more time there and would recommend it. It is very near the town centre with everything within walking distance. The room was quiet and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with lovely fresh fruits and berries, home made jam as well as all the cooked breakfast goodies.

Nice host but more help required

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Margaret
Cons: A shaving mirror at head height in the bathroom, a map of Hexham with restaurant details on, pubs, etc.
Good points were Margaret was lovely as was breakfast. Bad points were the room was dark, I had to kneel on the floor to shave and the place was hard to find (a fact not really appreciated by Margaret). Overall I felt it was overpriced.

Bed and breakfast in Hexham

Posted Oct 2, 2014
They are short handed and so service is spotty. Have to make sure that they are there when you arrive otherwise you have to go rot the town info center. It's new ownership so it may improve

Ruhige Lage, trotzdem direkt in der City

Posted Sep 17, 2014 on Hotels

This was our accommodation to attend a wedding in Hexham so the location was perfect as everything was in walking distance. The one thing that really stood out was the friendly and helpful hosts who couldnt do enough for us. As we had already been travelling thet let us use their washing machine and drying facilities...very helpful. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this guesthouse.

Nice, Rustic Room

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: It was clean, the food was good and the price reasonable
Cons: Nothing that could be done without destroying the character of the building
Location: Hadrain's wall is centrally located. Beautiful country
This is an older house that was converted into a B&B. It is old and it shows it. However the bathrooms are new and the they work. |The breakfast was great, the woman owner knows how to cook and is helpful. I spent four days there and compared to some of the other B&Bs I have stayed at, I would go back there again. Just remember you are NOT getting a Ramada or Marriott Ins here.

Stay At Bank Hall, April 2014

Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Homey
Cons: Fine as is
Location: Located next to old Gaol and close to pubs and restaurants.
Lovely property next to old Gaol and close to local pubs. Plenty of parking. Room was great and very 'homey'. Breakfast great and hotel managers very friendly and good company.
