Far from the beaten track

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable bed!
A very comfortable, modern room with a goodish breakfast. This b b is ideal if you want to get right away from it, up on the hills, apparently in the middle of nowhere. But still an easy enough drive to Hexham and to Hadrian's Wall.

A breath of fresh air (literally)

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: As described already.
Cons: Very little is needed.
Location: Although remote, directions are clear - and with Hadrians Wall close by as well as the Nothumbrian National Park, there is no shortage of options.
The farm is quite remote and exposed but, once inside, it is welcoming and with walls that are two feet thick, well able to provide a secure haven when the weather is bad (we were there in part when Hurrican Bertha passed over). The three bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and breakfast is served communally in another large room. The quality of food and comfort was high and the owners accommodating. We would readily return should we be in the area again.

Wonderful spot in the middle of nowhere

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Spotless premises that have been carefully planned for the comfort of guests
Arrived early but were given a welcome cup of tea before we went for a drive. Beautiful room with a super king bed views across the fields. Lovely cooked breakfast with other guests . Caroline was the perfect host.

Super Farm B&B

Posted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I enjoyed our two nights at High Keenley Fell Farm very much. The B&B accommodation is in a converted barn that adjoins the farmhouse with its own entrance, giving a good degree of privacy. Our room was large, clean and well furnished with its own well-laid out bathroom. The proprietor, Mrs MacLean, was warm and friendly and did an excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Only stayed the one night but would recommend this bed and breakfast. We had a very clean and well equipped ensuite double room. Would stay here again.

Great for a weekend away for couples.

Pros: Quiet location and good service
Cons: windy at night with a banging noise in the roof space
Location: secluded among outstanding area of natural beauty
We had a lovely weekend break. Caroline went out of her way to recommend places to visit and print off clear directions.
