Perfect guest house
Last minute booking at this wonderful guest house. Host was very accommodating and welcoming on arrival. Double room was a very good size with all the amenities you could need. View from our room was of the farm, which was lovely as we could see playful lambs from our window! Breakfast in the morning was a traditional northern English breakfast which was fantastic. There was also a selection of cereals, fruit and toast. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend

A little difficult to find since we did not have GPS, but instructions from hostess solved the problem. Local pub - Travellers Rest was great but would be a problem for evening meal if you stayed on days they were not open.

Brilliant farm B&B
Friendly people. One of the best farm B&B stays that we have had. Tucked into rural Northumberland. Wonderful pub nearby for meals. Planning to visit again.

Pleasant stay in rural location
Comfortable room in lovely quiet rural location. Excellent breakfast. Good shower. Nice to have good range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate along with some biscuits provided. The family room we were in is part of barn-farmhouse conversion which had been well done. Not surprisingly there are some creaky floorboards here and there. We found wifi in the room only worked in certain locations but it was possible to watch tennis on a tablet in bed without buffering issues. Would be nice to have bigger tv with modern connections but not a big moan. We ate our evening meal in the Rose and Crown in Slaby a short drive away and enjoyed the meal and good service. NB the nearest pub was not serving meals on a Monday night and the Slaby pub was pretty full so worth booking.

Great location to relax and explore around Hexham
Great location for relaxing and exploring the area in and around Hexham. The cottage is on a farm so lots going to see and do. A pub with an excellent adventure playground is on 10-15mins walk away (that also does great food). Hexham is a 15min drive away and lots of 'Hadrian' wall places to visit 30-45mins drive.

Business trip
This was a 2 night stay for a business trip. The B&B is a farm that you are welcome to explore, but unfortunately i didnt have the time and the weather wasn't the best. The rooms are spotless and have super views from the 1st floor of the beautiful countryside and gardens (as shown in the photos). The full english breakfast set me up nicely for the day, and there was a lovely little communal lounge where i was able to sit and read in the evening. They also have a field for campers, and there are a couple of self contained apartments but i didnt see inside these. Its was very peaceful. I will definately book here again, and it's just such a shame that it's a business trip.

An Oasis in rural Northumberland
The Satnav using the Post Code took us to a neighbouring property. The owner kindly gave verbal directions and we arrived safe. A detailed look at a map would have helped me to avoid the “wrong” turn. The arrival was during sunset into darkness and we missed out on the views of the surrounding landscape. On arrival we met the owners and chatted till we were shown our room. We were only there overnight to give us a sleep and a breakfast and didn't take advantage of the facilities available. In the morning a Full English Breakfast and a cheery wave goodbye. It was on the departure the full view of the landscape from the hill top location. In short we enjoyed our very short visit and would recommend Rye Hill Farm.

Great B&B near Hadrian's Wall
Very comfortable b&b that is a great place to stay if you plan on visiting the various Hadrian's Wall sites nearby. Breakfast was wonderful and the hostess was very friendly.

Stayed while cycling the area doing hadrian way cycle route - Owner extremely nice - we went to the pub down the road after a long day of cycling - was greatly needed. Breakfast was very good too in the morning.

What a GEM
What a fabulous cottage... The accommodation was simply beautiful and could not have been better for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. The layout was superb and everything from bedding, cutlery, chairs and cafetière were perfect to the point that after leaving I have purchased a similar cafetière. Location was excellent for exploring Northumberland. The hostess made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and the home made brownies left for us as a welcome pack were devine and unexpected. We revisit and would recommend to friends and family every time.

Rye Hill Farm - delightful
Rye Hill Farm has lovely rooms looking out over an expansive rural view and picturesque garden. There are many very appealing decorative and historical features in nooks and crannies. We were wonderfully well looked after, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet & Pretty location
We were well looked after by Elizabeth. Beautiful breakfasts in a delightful room overlooking the garden. Our room was comfortable and fortunately only 1 flight of stairs. A really nice pub was close by and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the meals.

Stay here, its lovely!!!
Easy to find, far enough out of the way to feel like you are in the most beautiful countryside but a short distance to 2 small town/ villages. Met with a warm welcome and shown to my room, I was really impressed. A good size, immaculate and really comfortable bed. My room was overlooking some lambs that were being raised by the owners as the b&b is part of a small holding and campsite. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and big portions. Really lovely lady running the place, will definitely go back!!!

Rye Hill Farm B & B
We cannot praise both the accommodation and the friendly service enough. We had been given a spa day present at Slayley Hall, but the highlight of our stay was definitely Rye Hill.
