The manager escorted us to our room. She was very nice. She stated she had just cleaned the room and had a window open to air out after spraying room. We ended up calling just after midnight because of loud talking and music blaring. It stopped but started again a couple hours later. Also, trains went thru hourly. Located on a very busy highway which we basically heard all night. It was a good value but unless you can sleep through anything I would not recommend. We didnt sleep at all and ended up leaving before 6am.

No one was there when I arrived! Dialed a phone outside that didn't have instructions. Hit 'redial' and got help! What a guess! No coffee in the room! I saw a machine in the lobby but no one was there. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice......it'll never happen!!

This is our halfway stop when traveling. We always stay at Cool Springs Inn. It is clean, quiet, and the staff is wonderful.

Smoke/fire detector/alarm missing from room. Bracket was there but no detector. Reported this to office and was asked “Do you want it replaced now?”. Really? After it was replaced, I asked the maintenance person if they were sure it was working. Their reply, “It was the last time I checked”. Obviously it wasn’t. How can you check something that’s not there? Do better.

after the new smoke detector was installed manager asked you people to confirm. You husband confirmed it with a sarcasm yes it’s in place but we don’t know whether it works or not ??? In response the manager told your husband that its a hardwire battery back up alarm. If the smoker detector was defective it will right away start chirping and start buzzing in the main office as well.(Technology)Non of that happened..Now coming down to the response of the maintenance… question asked by your husband about a new smoke detector was actually working??? didn’t go to well and hence the response.Since the day of your complain (Thanks) we have put that on our daily checklist so that it don’t ever happen. Thanks mgmt

It was an ok place.
It was very clean. It doesn't have a coffee pot or blow dryer and there wasnt anyone in the office, you have to call them. It was an ok place to stay for a night or two.

The inn was nice and check in was pleasant. The only problem we had was the entrance was poorly lit. It was raining and my husband almost hit their flowerbed that divided the entrance. It had a street light in the middle of the flower bed but it appeared broken. That really needs to be fixed before someone does wreck their car pulling in.

When we arrived, the room they sent us to had a double bed and had not been cleaned. Our reservation was for a queen. My husband went to the office, and they offered us another room. We went to that room, and it too, had not been cleaned! She asked us to give her 20 minutes to clean it herself. We left. The only reason we agreed to stay for the 2nd room is because it was roomier than the first with a king. We came back. The room was cleaner, but there was dirt in the shower, the bathroom floor was sticky, and the refrigerator smelled. We also noticed when we came back that the steps to the door were broken and uneven. With my MS, it made it difficult to go up and down, even though it was two small steps. The description online also said there was a grill and a garden. Just so happened that just outside our room, there was a filthy grill, two lawn chairs on top each other (also dirty), and a few plants in pots sitting on a kid-sized picnic table! Finally, upset with Expedia because when we search for a motel or inn, we ALWAYS check the 'pet friendly' box. This inn was the first that came up. We took our dogs (a maltese and a toy poodle) with us. When the manager saw them, she told us it would be another $40 and that pets weren't even allowed! Then we told her we wanted our money back, and she let them stay instead. Worst experience with a motel/inn recommended by Expedia. Sorry, you asked...

Agreed you were given a room that was not cleaned..but in return you were upgraded to a deluxe room. You are upset because you snuck in dogs in the room without notifying the front desk . We do not allow pets in all the rooms . She confronted you and made you pay pet charges which you didn’t appreciate it and started being abusing the desk Clark.In future don’t bother booking rooms at our motel. Because next time you lose language control we will call the cops.

The property is quaint and quiet. The front desk agent was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. Parking was right outside the room door. The price was unbeatable for the accommodations. I'm driving cross-country and this hotel was a perfect price for a night off the road.

Strong smoke smell.
Decent value for the price, but definitely run down. There was an unrepaired hole in the bathroom wall. The bathroom was quite clean but our non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke.

sorry about the discomfort caused by the cig, smeii,It is state law in indiana no smoking in the motel room.but sometimes you get a guest who dont care about the law and smoke in the room without us knowing . its shame that it goes unnoticed by the housekeeper. please provide us the room number so that we can check and have the problem taken care off.will get it touch with you after the inspection. My husband & I thought it would be a good idea to try this place out for the price… property wasn’t super well kept but we just thought “for the price maybe it’s fine” We just discovered bed bugs. 10/10 DO NOT recommend the cheap price isn’t worth it.

Miss you called this morning after you checked out that you found two bed bugs in your luggage. You were in room #120 and that room has been rented daily for over month with out any issues. Surprisingly you did not get bit by the so called bed bug all night.May be your luggage got infested some place else .. did you think about that.We have a contract with pest control company.We will call them tomorrow and let them inspect it..after that I’ll get the report from them and try and justify your complaint. Thanks mgmt

A hidden gem. Yes, it’s a basic room but for the price, it is excellent. In a quiet area but plenty of stores, restaurants just down the road. Extremely clean!

Amazingly clean! Yes, it’s not a big hotel chain, but the guy at the front desk was very professional and nice. The room for 1 night was more than adequate. Not big, but it provided just what I needed and was very quiet.

Needed a place to stay after working a 14 hour sports shift in Hammond. Was going to stay in Valparaiso, but found this gem only a short distance away. The stay was great. Clean, comfortable. Very reasonably priced. The room reminded me of small lake cottage atmosphere.

Safe, clean and quiet. Stayed for one night and slept like a baby. The building is a little older, but everything was in good repair. 2 very minor things I'd change: The desk chair was just a folding lawn chair. There was a lovely shower but no bathtub. That said, for the price you really can't beat it. The bed was soft and the sheets were comfy. The guy that runs the place was super friendly and helpful. That means a lot more to me than a mediocre desk chair.
