We drove over 4 hours for a wedding. I had called earlier in the week to see about getting an early check in because check in was at 3 and the wedding was at 4. The guy was nice and said to call the night before but it shouldn’t be a problem. I called the night before and spoke to a very kind girl who said that she would put it in the system and that she can almost guarantee we’d get it but to call back the next morning when we were in 2 hours away to let them know we were coming. I called on our way and spoke to someone who I’m assuming is a manager. She was extremely rude and said they do not offer early check ins at all. I explained to her that the two previous employees I spoke to said they do and that it shouldn’t be a problem. She said that’s not true and that she would speak to those employees. She did not want to give us an early check in at all and was very rude to me on the phone, explaining that checkout is at noon and there is no way she could clean all of those rooms in time for me to check in early. She eventually said that she would get my number just in case a room is available but kept repeating that the earliest she could help “if I can help at all” would be at 2 pm. I told her that was fine and sure enough, she called at exactly 2 pm on the dot. The hotel itself was decently nice. The bathrooms hadn’t fully been cleaned all the way and the shower didn’t work at all. The walls were paper thin so we heard everything all night. I wouldn’t recommend.

The night before I stayed here I stayed at a place in portage that the person above me was stomping and the person next to me was smoking weed and coughing nonstop till 3am. Then I stay here which was better but the person above me wasn’t quiet at all but thankfully stopped at 12am. The room felt very humid and had a bit of a mildew smell. I got the room at the end of the hall next to the outside door which means hearing the door slam. Definitely not coming back.

We were visiting the Dunes but wanted a quiet and safe place to stay. The hotel is located incredibly close to Valparaiso University and also to Highway 30. Short drive to a lot of local dining downtown. We found it to be a great place to stay.

Most of the staff were excellent. Clean and confortable. Deeana Manual was very eager to help and seek solutions to my request. My only issue was with the manager Richard Rainey. He was not too eager to help or suggest alternatives to my issues and request. I never felt confortable asking him for anything. But in general I would recommend your hotel to friends and family.

So many hotels have been getting very lax in their cleanliness. We thought that the hotel was newly renovated, it was that clean. That said that they were actually getting ready to renovate! VERY nice, helpful staff!

Hotel was nice, easy parking, good breakfast too. Don't know why when you reserve a room 4 months in advance, I am given one looking out at the rooftop rather than an unobstructed view?

Parking lot is way too dark. Clean and nice lobby but dated rooms. Broken bed. Dated windows that let in all noise from the road. At least I believe the room was clean minus a few small blood spots on sheets.

Hotel was acceptable, but not outstanding. Looked like an older hotel that had been rehabbed a few times. For the $133 I paid I would have expected better. Was disappointed the pool and whirlpool was closed. Breakfast was acceptable.

Arrived for check in, waited s couple of minutes before someone came out to help. When someone came out to check me in the front desk phone rang. They checked made a reservation entry that took over 10 min. While i just sat there, finally hung rhe phone up and started to check me in. Phone rang again and they took the call while processing my check in.
