1st room they sent me to smelled like a sewer. 2nd room, hvac was not working correctly. Even when set to 88 deg, room was c freezing cold. Breakfast was just yogurt and honey buns

Found what I thought was a bedbug in the room. I took pictures and called the front desk. The lady said that it was not a bedbug. It was just a beetle. The rest of the room looked clean. There Was no sign of bedbugs. I sent the picture to Orkin pest control on their website, and they confirm that it was indeed and an engouged (had recent fed) bedbug. The property was nice especially for the price but not worth bringing home a $2000 plus pest issue.

Pleasant stay with helpful staff
My wife has some handicap issues which don't always need a handicap room, so I had not requested one. The lower seat toilet and high edge of the tub were difficult for her. The front desk staff was wonderful when I spoke to them the next morning and helped us switch to a handicap room which was perfect. During any future renovation I hope you'll consider a handicap height toilet seat in any room renovated

Checkin was fast. Room was clean. Only 3 pillows on King bed. Needed a couple extra pillows, dropped off 1. Bed was a bit too hard.

Will stop there agin for sure
Nothing really to complain about. Staff was very nice, rooms were good size and clean. Hotel isnshowing its age a little bit (plastic tubs that are somewhat slippery and wobbly, furniture in the room was peeling its veneers, etc.), but still, for the price you pay, this was definitly worth every penny.

Cindy at the front desk is amazing, She was able to get me in my room earlier than I expected. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job. My room was clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay here again.

I was shocked at how clean this older hotel is maintained. Does it have issues? Yes, because of its age, the walls are thin, making it awkward when the people in the next room had sex in the middle of the afternoon. ( The lady was a screamer). I was more amused than angry. But if you don't mind hearing others and you want a clean place to stay, I can recommend this place, which is within walking distance to Red Robin and Panda Express

So sad to see this hotel is not being kept updated
Housekeeping did not have any disposable gloves provided to them and went from room to room cleaning bathrooms and providing coffee setups and clean towels. We decided just to get restocked without having housekeeping enter our room for the week long stay. The laundry facilities are outdated and the dryer is broken. Continental breakfast during the week consisted of granola bars and coffee, noticed on Saturday that person setting up continental breakfast was not wearing disposable gloves. Bathroom sink very slow drainage(reported). Even with grab bars in bathroom, tub and floors very slippery. Garbage on floor from Panda Express behind bedside table. First night stay Valparaiso city police were on sight and knocking on doors.

The pool waa so nasty that my 11 yeae old boy would not go in. The room was clean. Bed was so-so. Good location but I would pay extra for a hotel in better condition.

No veteran discount, furniture was really old, noisy rooms from other rooms, coffee pot was scally with lime deposits visible when opening water reservoir, sheets were clean but the bedspreas (top cover was filthy). Probably won't choose this motel next time.

The staff here is awesome. Very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and quiet the only issue was the ac. We had to turn the temp down to 60 to get the room acceptable for sleep. Other than that it was all we needed.
