“A very relaxing vacation spot”

The view was amazing. You can see Playa Pelada and a little bit of Playa Guiones while sitting down at the tables outside of the kitchen. The breakfast that is included is quite nice. We had the options of French toast, banana pancakes, scrambled eggs with pinto, or an omelet over pinto. We are a couple in our late twenties and enjoyed the hike down to the beach and back up to the hotel. It is about a 30 minute walk down to Playa Pelada and an hour to Playa Guiones. We did not need a car, but many people will probably want one. Alexa was very kind to us and we really enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time lounging underneath the umbrellas by the pool when we were trying to avoid the sun. It was the right place for us and we are happy we found the lovely place. Keep in mind though that we love walking. IMPORTANT NOTES: - Remember to pack a headlamp. It is completely dark along most of the hill where the hotel is located and the roads can be very confusing too. - There is a restaurant only 5 minutes down the hill from the hotel (LaGarta Lodge... with a lovely view of Boca de Nosara and the sunset), but when that restaurant is closed (Tuesdays) or is full (you need reservations for dinner - probably because everyone goes there to watch the sunset), you'll need to walk 30 minutes to an hour to get to where there are other restaurants.

“good view, needs some work”

The view from this bed and breakfast was beautiful, but it is quite a drive up the hill. Downed power lines in area were difficult to navigate around. This also meant there was no internet while we were there- which was poor timing. There was no air conditioning, and the ceiling fan was not working and only rotated in the reverse mode. Breakfast was good, but did not compare with other bed and breakfasts we had stayed at in Costa Rica at the same price point. Ultimately, we did not feel that welcomed.
