Stayed in a superior room mid week. There was nothing superior really about it, I had myself questioning whether they had put us in the wrong room. Reception staff member was pleasant when checking in; a good start however upon entering the room the experience soon deteriorated. I have read other reviews and expected quite a small room but it wasn't just the size it was the decor as well, not what you expected after walking through a sleek lobby and corridors to be faced with dated and cheap looking light coloured wood. Television in a silly place and view from the window, looked over the small garden and the city .Park bar again looked dated, however wine was a good quality and not unreasonable. Bed extremely comfortable, black out curtains and quality linen ensured a restful night sleep. Upon checking out a different receptionist took payment but never asked if we enjoyed our stay. Overall a mixed review but for the price payed, not value for money and definitely not superior in anyway.

A very good experiencePosted Aug 25, 2010
The location close the Nottingham Castle on a hill is great. While the rooms are small, the lay-out is good and all the necessary room amenities are there. The Hart Restaurant next to the hotel is a destination in itself and it is well worth having dinner there. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room rate was competitive bearing in mind what rooms cost in the UK. All in all, a very good experience
